Conners pov

We lasted two weeks,two weeks that's it,well I guess it was better than I expected to be honest, but it wasn't my fault my dad was the substitute of business studies (A/N idn if u have this lesson in other countries but in England we have this lesson so yea⚡️)

We were just chilling in class when our head teacher walked in

"Class as miss Appleby,your teacher is ill we have a substitute his name is mr.messenger and I don't want any of you to mess around okay?"

There were a few groans and mutters in the class ,agreeing to be good

"Great I'll leave you to it",the head nodded at "mr.messenger" and left the room.

"Conner"travis whisper shouted,"it's you know who",he gestured towards the teacher.

It took a second for it to sink in,the man in front of is looked exactly like us,he had blue eye with a mop of curly brown hair on his head and his grin looked so mischievous that you would naturally try and stay clear of him to avoid trouble.

"Dad"I muttered bitterly

"Omg mr.messenger who couldn't have been more creative if he tried"travis grinned sarcastically,referring the name

"What he doing here"

Before travis could reply dad started talking

"So today morta..I mean fellow students of westbourne high,I am mr.messenger you business studies supply,today I will be teaching you some stuff about business and all that."

I grinned,"he couldn't be less teacher like if he tried"I thought to myself

I must of spoken out loud because the next thing I knew the whole class including dad stared at me.

"So mr.stoll would you like to repeat to the class what you just said ?"Hermes eyes glinted cheekily

"Yes"I replied angrily,"what are you doing here ?"

"What does it look like,teaching"

"You couldn't teach if Athena trained you herself!"

"Excuse me?"

"You really are a crap teacher, go back to your godly stuff"travis joined in

"Travis"me and dad hissed together "mortals"

"Whatever they were going to find out anyway,it's not like dad could manage a lesson without getting mad and vaporising a pupil with George and Martha"travis retorted

"Hey"it's not like I explode schools Hermes replied angrily

"No cus you explode countries!"

By this point all the students in the class were staring at us with there mouthed wide open

"Oh sorry"I muttered sarcastically,"I think I'll reintroduce myself,I'm Conner stoll,son of Hermes,head councillor of the Hermes cabin and surviver of the giant and Titan war"I paused a minute,avoiding the eyes of my mortal friends.

"This is travis stoll,son of Hermes,head councillor of the Hermes cabin and surviver of the giant and Titan war,.......and this here is.."as I was about to introduce Hermes,he butted in excitedly ."oh goody let me introduce myself"he smiled childishly.i mentally face palmed and gestured him forwards

"I am Hermes,god of thieves,travellers,messages,roads,trade,athletes and sport and I'm going to go now so see ya!"

In a flash Hermes was gone and me and travis were left in front of the class who by now looked terrified and shocked all mixed into one

"Finally after a couple of minutes of awkward silence Kelly plucked up the courage to speak,"why didn't you tell me, I thought we were friends"

I smiled,"sorry you are my friend,I couldn't risk telling you I didn't want to put any of you in danger,we've got to go know but I'll call you sometime"I answered quietly

She nodded in reply

The me and travis sprinted out of school and headed straight to camp
