Chapter 9: Distant memory

-Luffy pow-

An odour of tasty and juicy meat filled the room as my eyes took turns opening up

I opened my eyes and saw a woman with tears in her eyes as she embraced me with all her heart

I could faintly remember the name, a name ive been saying daily for the past years, along with the Long nosed guy and a very gentle reindeer which was fixing up some medications

As I tried getting up a stinging pain could be felt across my head, like someone pricked me with needles from the inside

My body was shaking and alot of places had an odd pain which i couldnt even begin to explain to chopper, since most of them diddnt make sense

Luffy: "Ugh... Nami, what is going on?"

Nami: "Luffy! thank god you're okay... You moron!!"
She raised her hand and gave me a slap to my cheek as she gently applied a new bandaid right after

Luffy: "Chopper did I hit my head?"

Chopper: "Why don't you ask the surgeon that saved you?"

Surgeon? I brush my head to the side in confusion as to what he meant

As I tried speaking up, another familiar face appears as he opens the door

Zoro walks inside the room and takes a sneak peak at luffy while he takes another sip of his sacred sake and sits down in the corner

Zoro: "I ended up losing grip when Nami sent you over to me suddenly, you might feel some pain in your head soon"

Nami: "Yeah! its all his fault!
she says while looking away from him and checking my head"

Luffy: "Ah.. that explains it, this stinging pain"

I raised my body up and slowly walked for the door, despite the pain my body walked naturally towards a set destination

Nami: "Where are you going? you just came back home! ??"

Luffy: "Im going back to ...."

Chopper: "Back to what"

Luffy: "I ... cant..."

The memory of a person was crossing my mind constantly

but i cant remember the face, its all just a big blur

I can't remember...

Nami: "Was it something important?"

I gaze at the morning sun which was shining the brightest right upon me
and tried to remember, a figure walking away

I find my hat safely placed on a chair right outside my room and picks it up before heading in again

Luffy: "I guess its not important"
"I WANT MEAT SANJI!"
I say as i happily stroll inside again

END

in the end their love was twisted and wrong. Maybe it was best for them this way. It would only hurt them both to continue..
So i decided to end it on a tragic note

He will probably remember Law but not that way.
