20.Letter

Third person POV

The following day they all went to school and the day went by easily. Daniel didn't get much bother from the other boys. Corbyn was excited for his therapy session so couldn't focus properly but no one noticed. Lily was thinking about her feelings.

Soon the school day was over and Daniel went home while Lily and Corbyn went to Corbyns therapy.

They did some simple exercises with him but then Lily had to leave the room for a few minutes.

After 2 hours the session was finished but Corbyn didn't get booked in again.

Lily:That was fun

Corbyn chuckled and put his thumbs up.

Little did Lily know but Corbyn was planning something for later this evening.

Lily's POV

I'm sat in my room on instagram while listening to music. It's weird not sharing a room with Corbyn now.

I saw door opening and took my earphones out. Corbyn walked in and passed me a letter which said: To Lily, Please don't open just come straight downstairs with me.

Lily:Corbyn what's going on?

He smiled like mad and grabbed me by the hand walking me downstairs into the sitting room. I saw my mom also sat in this room but not looking confused like me. She looked more happy, like really happy. What's going on.

Once I sat down Corbyn pointed at the envelope in my hand and gestured for me to open it.

It was a folded piece of paper that said: Do not open, give to Corbyn.

I am so confused. I gave the paper to Corbyn and he unfolded it. He looked at me for a couple seconds and smiled before looking back to the page.

Then it happened and I nearly cried

Corbyn:Lily, Thank you for everything you've done for me. The day we met I hated life, I had no friends and hated going home. I had no one and no where safe. And then you came up to me and said "Hey Corbyn is it? Are you Okay?"
Yes I remember that. Ever since then you've helped and supported me. Lily, you saved my life, your the reason I'm saying these words right now. I love life and I love you like family. Thank you for helping me find my voice again.

Lily:CORBYN OH MY GOD

I jumped out my seat and hugged him tightly he hugged me back and I started crying.

Lily:I can't believe it. I love you Corbs
Corbyn:I love you too and neither can I. I have a voice again

I pulled away and looked him in the eyes

Lily:Am I dreaming?
Corbyn:No, I don't think so
Lily:Omg does Daniel know?
Corbyn:Not yet
Lily:Can I call him and you talk?
Corbyn:Okay

Phone call:

Daniel:Hey Lil what's up?
Corbyn:It's not Lily
Daniel:Who's that?
Corbyn:Corbyn
Daniel:No way
Corbyn:Yes way
Daniel:BRO WHAT?
Corbyn:I'm talking
Daniel:Oh my god can I come round?
Corbyn:Yeah course
Daniel:Okay see you in ten minutes
Corbyn:Byeeee

Corbyn:Daniels coming over is that okay?
Lily:Yeah course! I still can't believe it
Corbyn:Me neither
Lily:I have so many questions
Corbyn:Like?
Lily:I'll ask you them later.

I heard a knock on the door and Corbyn went to open it.

Corbyn:Hello
Daniel:Corbyn! Broooo you talk!
Corbyn:Yes I'm so happy
Daniel:Well I'm happy for you!

We went and messed around in my garden for a bit like we usually do and all three of us talked about life.

Corbyn:I'm going to the toilet I'll be back in a minute
Lily:Okay

Daniel:Lil?
Lily:Yea?
Daniel:Can we go somewhere later? Like just me and you?
Lily:Yeah sure where you thinking?
Daniel:Erm I don't know yet
Lily:Okay

Corbyn:I'm back
Daniel:Oh Hey
Corbyn:Did you ask her?
Daniel:Yes and she said yes
Corbyn:Okay good
(^^Lily couldn't hear any of that)

After about 40 minutes my mom came outside and said she wanted to speak to me

Claire:I'm gonna go and do some shopping
Lily:Okay
Claire:Would Daniel like to stay for dinner
Lily:I think he will

Lily:Daniel?
Daniel:Yeah
Lily:Do you wanna stay for dinner?
Daniel:Yes if it's okay with your mom?
Lily:Okay

Lily:He's gonna stay
Claire:Okay I'm gonna go now then
Lily:Okay love you bye
Claire:Bye love you too

Lily:So guys we're home alone what should we do?
Daniel:Don't mind
Corbyn:Neither
Lily:Ugh you two are boring we can literally do anything we want to!
Corbyn:Why don't you ask me some of those question you have?
Lily:Okay. One the questions are, Can I hear your song?
Corbyn:I haven't tried singing yet but let's all go to my room and I'll show you it
Daniel+Lily:Okay

We went in Corbyn's room and he got his guitar and a little notebook

Corbyn:Okay So I'll play the rhythm on my guitar and then just say the lyrics as I'm playing it
Lily:Okay
Corbyn:I'll do the first verse because I wanna keep the rest of the song a secret for when I've practiced
Lily:Okay
Corbyn:Here we go

He started by strumming his guitar a few times and then started saying the lyrics.

Corbyn:The day world flips over, the day the sun dries up, the day the sky falls down, the day the stars give up. The day I'm not by your side, and I'm on my knees. Tears falling from my eyes and I'm begging please.

Daniel:Those lyrics are amazing!
Corbyn:They took ages to get perfect
Lily:That's amazing and I've only heard the first verse!
Corbyn:Thank you!

We back downstairs and I saw Daniel and Corbyn talking quietly but I couldn't hear what they were saying so I just went to get a snack

Daniel:Lily?
Lily:Yup?
Daniel:Could we go somewhere now?
Lily:Sure but what about Corbyn he's on his own?
Corbyn:I'll be fine and I can practice my song
Lily:Okay let me go and get some shoes

Daniels POV

Corbyn:So tell me the plan again
Daniel:Start walking, don't day where we are going, take her to the beach because it's her favourite place to be, talk for a while and finally ask her on a date
Corbyn:Perfect. Now, have a good time
Daniel:I will

As if on cue Lily ran downstairs and stood by my side.

Lily:I'm ready
Daniel:Okay lets go
Corbyn:Have funnnn!!
Lily:You too!

Here we go. I'm so nervous

Lily:So where are we going?
Daniel:It's a surprise but you'll love it!
Lily:Okay?
