Peters POV
I move the pasta on my tray around with my fork, not really hungry. suddenly I feel someone poke my cheek,
"Peter were you even listening!" I look at Annabell, one of my two friends.
"Sorry was distracted" she rolls her eyes and smiles, "We were talking about your 15th birthday tomorrow!" I smile slightly that someone remembered, tomorrow is the tenth of August, "So wanna hang out after school tomorrow to celebrate?"
"I will see if I can" she frowns at this and Max shakes his head, "Oh come on Pete! May should let you!" I roll my eyes and the bell rings,
"I will let you know what she says okay" they nod and we all walk our separate ways to class. I enter the photography class and smile as Mrs.Halenia nods at me. I sit at my table and pull out my laptop, ready to just work on editing my portfolio. once everyone is sitting down and chatting, Mrs.Halenia speaks up,
"Attention class!" We all look at her except two jerks in the back, "I have a special announcement! All photography classes have been invited to an art expo" we all cheer, we all know why we get to go is because two of us got our art being shown, "Class we are not going to the LA expo though" Everyone stops and looks at her confused,
"Where are we going then?" Maria asks,
"We will be heading to New York for the expo! it all is paid for by Stark Industries!" Everyone cheers again, "We will leave September fifth and will be back on September twentieth. All your teachers will give you what work you need to do during the trip and if you do not get it done you will be in trouble" we all know who she is talking about, she hands us our permission slip and lets us work.

I walk out of Starbucks and up the road, Seatle traffic sucks and it is too crowded honestly. I hate it here but I do not really remember living anywhere else. I run across the street and into the apartment building, saying hi to the doorman as I run past. I quickly get into the elevator and hit the top button. Aunt May owns the building so we live in the penthouse, honestly, I do not fully hate it.
"Hey, Aunt May!" I smile as she sits on the couch reading a book, "guess what happened today!" she glares at me, not liking to guess and it slipped my mind about it.
"Tell me what happened today Pete" my smile slightly falls but I keep it there,
"Mrs.Halenia announced a field trip next month and it is all paid for! Plus my science class was invited too for a surprise!" She frowns and shakes her head,
"Too bad you have to miss it" I frown,
"Why?" she stares me in the eyes and frown,
"You cannot go, I will not let you" I look at the ground and nod,
"Okay then, I am going to do my homework" she nods and I got to my room, I never dare to backtalk her or she will punish me, last time she grounded me from eating for a week as a punishment. I sit at my simple glass-topped desk and pull out the permission slip. if she was not signing it I will and I will go. It would not be my first time signing for her but this one is too important to miss out on! I forge her signature and smile knowing I will get away with it.

Its a week before the trip and both Max and Anna dragged me out to go shopping. I hold up a crop top that has penguins on it,
"Anna you should get this!" she shakes her head but takes it anyway. I have so much new clothing and three suitcases just for me, Anna and Max both know the situation I am in so Anna told May that I was going with her to Cali for the art expo down there, and well she believed us.
