This was literally the best week of my life. Not only had I won the fan contest for TFIOS, but I had been officially declared cancer-free five days ago. My battle was over, and my life was about to begin. All I needed was my phone and my book. Actually, all I HAD was my phone and my book. And my charger, and my clothes, and....okay, yeah, never mind. The thing I didn't have was hair. I mean, I used to, and I have eyebrows and stuff, but I was, more than anything, nervous about what they would think of me. I was the only one who was a book fan, maybe they'd think I was a geek. Although I no longer had to fear death, I had much more to fear. But I knew that if John Green had picked me to represent his book, then I was strong enough. Stronger then even Hazel Grace Lancaster. "You okay, Avalon?" asked my mother as we pulled up to the large house. "Okay." I said back.
