repulsion consumes me.
it weighs me down
and drags me, determined
into the dark, slippery hell
of self-loathing
it chases me
into a bleak whirlwind of
toxic remorsei am well aware
that a person's worth
lies well beneath
the angle of their nose,
the size of their waist
and the shape of their face
but my self hatred runs deeper
still
