"Mom, You're awake!" Asher embraces his mother. "What happened?!" Asher asks, holding his mother's face between his hands. She smiles at him looking tired. Asher lets go of his mother and moves away making space for his father. His father rushes to his mother's side and holds her in a thigh embrace. She makes circles on her husband's back with her hand to comfort him. They stay like that for a while before letting each other go. "Asher, can I please talk to your mother in private? Alone." "But dad." Asher protests not wanting to leave. "Asher, we'll talk to you later." His father says with a stern tone. Asher doesn't want to go but he knows this argument won't lead to anything. He sighs and walks toward his mother kissing her on the head and walks out of the room. After making sure Asher left, Asher's mother begins to speak again. "So, what happened?" Her husband takes her hand into his own hands and shakes his head in disbelief. He looks her straight into her eyes. "Your mother wanted to take Asher away from us and you lost it." He looks back at the door before saying: "you used your abilities to summon your sword." His wife's eyes widen in horror and she begins to panic. "Oh no did Asher see that?! What did I do? Oh no this is bad!" He sighs. "Yes, he saw you swinging the sword at them but he stopped you by using his cards to form a wall between you and them." Asher's mother begins to cry and leans into her husband for comfort. "I made him use the abilities he hates. What kind of mother am I?" He embraces his wife trying to comfort her and tell her that everything's going to be alright. What they did not know is that Asher is standing outside the room, listening to the whole conversation. He never went to his room. He stayed there hoping for answers to his questions but he never expected this. He is shocked. Truly shocked. His mother has abilities. What about his father? Does he also have abilities that Asher doesn't know about? He always thought that his parents didn't have abilities. No one in his family is supposed to have powers except him. They told him he was the first person in the family born with abilities.

After Asher overheard the conversation between his parents he decided to go to his room and lock himself in. He's sitting on his bed with his knees bent in front of him and his arms around his legs, with his chin leaning on his knees. He doesn't know what to think. He's been sitting like that for a while now. He gets out of his bed and walks to his door. He sighs and unlocks it. He walks to his parent's room and knocks on the door. "You can come in." He hears his father say from the other side of the door. He opens the door and walks straight toward them. "So, what were you two talking about?" He asks pretending that he didn't hear their conversation from before. They look at each other and then back at Asher. "Nothing important." Asher's face becomes devoid of emotion and he just looks at them. He is disappointed in them for not telling him even though they knew he saw his mother with the sword. He wished they were more honest with him. He smiles and walks towards the exit. "Asher, didn't you want to talk to your mother?" His father says, sounding confused. Asher stops and turns around. "I already got my answer." The answer is that they don't trust him enough to tell him. Asher leaves the room leaving his parents looking worried and confused at each other.

Asher walks into his bedroom and grabs a jacket laying on his bed. He puts it on and leaves his room now walking down the stairs. He goes outside. He's standing in front of his house enjoying the cold breeze. It's calmly quiet. There aren't a lot of cars riding anymore at this hour. Almost everyone is mostly sleeping. He looks up to the sky and a frown forms on his face. He is disappointed. There aren't many stars in the sky and he loves stars. It's one of his most favorite things in the world. A starry night. But luckily the moon is always there and today it's a full moon. The light is shining through the darkness. Because of the light, he notices a figure moving to his right. He looks to where the figure was but sees nothing there. He swears he saw someone standing there a moment ago. He's getting scared. For the last few days, he feels like someone has been following him. He runs inside and quickly closes the door behind him and locks it. "Is everything alright?" His mother is looking at him with a worried expression. He takes a few deep breaths. "Mom I don't know if I'm just paranoid but I have a feeling that someone has been stalking me these days." His mother's eyes widen in horror and is starting to get worried. "When did it start to happen?" "A few days ago, when you were still sleeping." His mother walks to a window and looks outside. She looks around to see if she can see someone and then closes the curtains. "Asher, help me close the curtains." They both start closing the curtains of every window in the house. "What are you two doing?" Asher's father asks walking in on his wife and son running through the house closing curtains. "Asher thinks someone is stalking him." Asher's father walks to the back door and checks if the door is locked. "Asher, if you go out, be very alert." "Mom, who do you think is stalking me?" His mother hugs him. "There is a possibility your grandparents hired someone to take you away from us." Asher's eyes widened in shock. Would they go that far? "Your mother may be right." Asher is starting to feel scared. His mother may be right because he felt like someone started following the day after his grandparents visited. And it would be a good opportunity because his mother was asleep so she wouldn't be able to use her powers to protect him. Oh right. She has abilities and they didn't tell him. "I'm going to sleep." He says slipping out of his mother's embrace. "Goodnight mom and dad."

Asher walks upstairs but instead of going to his room, he hides behind a wall. He wants to know more about his mother's abilities. There would be a chance that they would talk about it. And he was right. "Do you think they planned all of this?" "What do you mean?" "That they made me use my ability so that I would be out for a few days so that they can kidnap our son?" "I don't really know because they still would have to go through me." Asher's father says in a serious tone. What does he mean to go through him? How can his father protect him? His father is more of a lover than a fighter while his mother is more of a fighter than a lover. "I can still use my abilities so I think they would also try to get me out of the picture." 'Wait what?!' His father also has abilities. Asher can't believe it and runs to his room. So his father also has abilities. How many lies have they told him? Why did they say he is the first one with abilities in the family? Maybe they also have an ability that people see as a villain power and that's why they also don't use it. There comes a thought in Asher's head. He wonders how he can even think that. He hopes that isn't true. Are his parents villains?

The next day Asher is really tired. He didn't sleep much that night. Not that he normally sleeps much. Asher has been struggling with insomnia for a long time. But this time it was because he kept overthinking. He wanted to know what would happen if his parents were villains. Asher slowly gets out of bed and starts to get himself ready for the day. He doesn't know how to act around his parents anymore. What if heroes were stalking him to know where he lives so they could capture his parents. Asher feels like his head is going to explode.

Somewhere in the forest in an abandoned-looking mansion, Alice is sitting in the dining room eating her breakfast. She's eating a lot. Like she hasn't eaten in days, and that's actually true. On the day of the exam, after she talked with her father she went to sleep and only woke up today. It's a side effect of her using her abilities for too long. Her father walks into the dining room. "So that new friend you have." He says taking a seat at the head of the table. "What about him?" Alice asks, still stuffing her mouth with food. Before her father could answer, A walks into the dining room saying: "Father has been stalking him for the past few days while you were asleep." "What!" Alice says, angry slamming her fist on the table. "Calm down, I don't think he knows." Her father says looking sheepish. "Why did you stalk him and what do you mean you think?" Her father scratches the back of his head looking nervous. "Well, I think he saw me last night because he ran inside and he and his mother were closing all the curtains." Alice facepalms herself. She is disappointed in her father. Doesn't he trust her? "And why did you stalk him?" "I need to know if he's not a threat to us." He says getting serious. Her father is right. Asher could be a threat but he doesn't look like a person who poses a threat. Or maybe he's just acting to be weak. But even if he turns out to be a threat to them Asher knows she can kill him in a second. "I'm going to visit him to find out if he knows that you're following him." Alice says standing up and leaves the dining room. "You messed up." A says disappointed, hiding a smirk. "If he caught you and he is not a threat he is going to want to stay away from Alice, it can mess up the future." A also walks out of the dining room leaving their father to think.
