(Tyler's POV)

Suddenly, at the same time, we both became aware of how close we were. We both turned a bright red as we moved apart, nervously chuckling. My faced burned intensely as I looked away and tried to calm my quickened breaths.

"S- uh, sorry about that, I um, I should've slowed down...." Josh stumbled on his words with a nervous tone in his voice.

"Oh d-don't sweat it, it- it's fine. I should've slowed down too." I shyly looked away and smiled as Josh tried meeting my eyes with his once again.

After a few minutes of us processing what had happened, we both calmed down and started the walk to my house. We both silently agreed never to speak of what happened.

While walking down a sidewalk, Josh suddenly moved in front of me and bent his knees. He looked back at me and smirked.

"Hop on, Tyjo!" Josh called as he grinned like an idiot.

Doing as he said, I jumped onto his back, wrapping my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. He hoisted me up and picked up the pace to my house.

"Alright, let's go!" Josh ran faster to my house, but the sudden change of speed surprised me, so I held tighter onto Josh, ducking my head down onto his neck. "Okay, you can stay like that, just don't accidentally choke me." Josh half laughed, half panted as we neared my house.

"Oh, uh, sorry." I replied shyly as I loosened my arms around Josh's neck and sunk slightly into myself.

"Oh no, no, no, it's totally okay. You didn't, I was just reminding you. You can go back if you want.." Josh lightly chuckled at first, but his voice turned hopeful near the end.

I nervously tightened my grip around him, not choking him in the process, and rested my face on Josh's neck once more. He felt warm against the cool wind, giving me a calming feeling which made me relax my tense shoulders. Apparently Josh noticed me do this, as he slowed down and smoothed out his walking.

"You doing okay, bud?" Josh looked back at me and saw me nuzzling my face in his warm neck. He turned pink and looked back forwards, but still awaited my response.

"Yeah. I'm doing great." My words were muffled, yet I still smiled against his skin, feeling more relaxed than I have in a long time.

Pretty soon, we got to my house. I lead Josh up to my room so we could set our backpacks down. I suddenly stopped before I was about to leave the room.

"Do you have anything specific in mind that you want to do?" I glanced over at Josh, who looked like he was trying to come up with something as his ridiculous facial expressions showed, but could not. He stopped and shook his head, laughing at himself after I had done the same. "Alright. Do you like Marvel?" I asked the make-or-break question, anxiously awaiting his response.

"Who's Marvelle...?" Josh questioned, seemingly utterly confused. I gave an overdramatic gasp.

"Josh. I'm not sure I can be your fren anymore." I jokingly spoke solemnly, frowning to try and not laugh.

"I understand.... Just kidding, of course I know what Marvel is!" Josh exclaimed, jumping up. I put my hand over my heart and exhaled heavily.

"Phew, I was worried there for a minute. I mean, obviously I still would've been your friend, but I would've forced you to watch all of the movies with me." I laughed and lead Josh back to the living room that we passed by when we first walked into the house.

"Well duh. Clint is like, my spirit animal." Josh spoke with an obviously tone in his voice, making me lightly shove him.

"I mean if you're Clint, then what does that make me? Natasha?" I asked jokingly, sitting down on the couch with Josh. He gave me a dead stare.

"Yes." Josh deadpanned for a solid six seconds before he broke and we both laughed. I lightly punched him in the shoulder and rolled my eyes. "To be completely honest with you, I'm not even sure if you said that because Clint and Nat are best friends, or because most Marvel fans ship them together, but either way I ain't complaining." Josh stuck his tongue out while laughing, making me lose it again.

"I don't even know which one is the reason I said it to be honest." I heaved, slightly chuckling to myself as I pulled up my Fire Stick on my TV to allow us to watch any movie we want. "Now which trilogy do you wanna watch? The Iron Mans, the Captain Americas, the Thors...?" I looked over to Josh, who started mumbling something about our previous conversation.

"Well in our case, I'd say we're more like Steve and Bucky because they're best friends, yet secretly gay for each other, it's just not necessarily cannon in the movies yet, but the fan-base still-" Josh went on a ramble until I jokingly smacked him on the arm and laughed again.

"I was going to let you choose, but just because of that I'm putting on Captain America." I clicked on the movie as I gave Josh the side-eye, making him squint and smirk at me.

"Well I would've chosen Captain America anyway, so joke's on you!" Josh scrunched up his face and stuck his tongue out again.

"Oh stop being so adorable before I kick you off my couch." I tried hiding my grin as Josh smiled again, running his hand closest to me through his hair and resting it on the back of the couch, outstretched. I rolled my eyes and pressed play on the movie, scooting slightly closer to Josh.
