(Tyler's POV)
Three hours later, my alarm went off.
I groaned and pressed snooze on the alarm on my phone with my eyes closed. After doing so, I snuggled further into my blanket-
Wait. What? I felt a strange, yet comforting, warmth coming from behind me. I looked around and noticed I was on the floor. Huh? That's weird. I must've fallen away off my bed while I was-
I suddenly froze. I shut my eyes and took a deep breath. Don't tell me that.... I opened my eyes and nervously rolled over. Seeing a head full of flaming-red hair. I turned back with wide eyes. Oh my god, I'm dead. I'm so dead.
I tried to get up without waking up Josh, but something was holding me back. I looked down to see arms wrapped quite tightly around my waist. My face turned a light shade of red as I got a little flustered, but I soon started getting a little self-conscious because his arms were on my stomach. I tensed my shoulders up as my breathing quickened once I thought about it.
Jøsh knøws. He knøws what yøu had døne. He knøws where your mind had gøne. He knøws yøu've had plans tø take it beføre. He's just putting up an act tø hurt yøu møre, later øn. He's getting inførmation tø tear yøu døwn later. It's pathetic yøu actually thøught he wøuld want tø be yøur friend.
Despite Blurryface's sickening thoughts, I quickly shut my eyes and took a deep breath.
It's just Josh, he won't judge me. He already told me he cares about me, I don't have to worry. He does know, but he also truly likes being my friend. He does.
I opened my eyes again to find my breathing calm. I slightly smiled at myself. I did it. Suddenly, Josh turned me around so I faced him. He was grinning from ear to ear.
"You did it." He whispered, keeping the same smile on his face.
"I did it." I repeated, my grin growing as I looked at Josh. "I did it!!" I shouted happily, hugging Josh.
"You did it!" Josh shouted back, gratefully hugging me back with the same stupid grin on his face.
We hugged for a few minutes, staying in that position on the floor even after we had stopped hugging. We had our chins on each others' shoulders and our arms were draped around each other. I smiled to myself because, for the first time in a long time, I felt comfortable with myself. I felt like I was cared for. I felt truly happy. I smiled wider just thinking about it, hugging Josh once more for a few seconds.
"I hope you know how happy I am that you didn't listen to Blurryface. You stood up to him. You showed him who's boss. I'm so proud of you." Josh stated positively and confidently, sounding truly happy for me as he patted my back.
"Thank you. I'm glad I did it too." I smiled again, suddenly thinking about something that confused me. I pulled away from Josh and looked at him with a confused face. "Wait a second. How do you know I stood up to Blurryface?" I asked with my head cocked to the side.
"Well, I woke up when your alarm went off, which apparently woke you up too, as I saw you shut off the alarm. After the whole deal of you realizing I was holding you, I felt your breathing quicken. I knew it must've been happening due to Blurryface because that's what happened before, and I was going to say something, but I wanted to see what you did. So when I heard you take a deep breath and slow your breathing, I knew it was because you stood up to him. And by god, I could not stop grinning." Josh explained, still smiling his adorable smile as he looked at me.
"Aww, that's sweet. But also, are we ever going to talk about the 'me waking up in your arms on the floor' deal, or no?" I questioned, partially interested in how that happened, but also partially embarrassed.
"Depends on if you want to talk about it or not. Honestly, I don't really know what happened, but I also kinda do. So it's up to you." Josh looked over at my pink face and smirked.
"Yeah, I really do want to talk about it. I may be extremely embarrassed, but I am curious. What happened?" I asked before I had the chance to hesitate or get too anxious to still want to ask.
"Well, uh, after you fell asleep, I tried to ask you if you were still awake, and you sleepily said 'Mmm, Josh?' and you kinda just slid onto the floor into my arms and just.... snuggled up. But that's fine because I, uh, I actually kinda liked it because I, um, I felt more comfortable with you here with me." Josh explained, his face turning slightly red.
"Oh, wow, uh.... That's embarrassing." I laughed nervously and scratched the back of my neck, averting my eyes from Josh to try and avoid mortification.
"Tyler, I seriously don't mind. Honestly, I was glad you slept down here. I could keep a better eye on you." Josh winked at me and chuckled, making me laugh a little bit. "I also, uh.... hehe, I uh.... I usually have trouble sleeping but, um, you being there really helped...." Josh progressively turned redder as he spoke and nervously laughed, scratching the back of his head. I genuinely smiled at him and grabbed his hand.
"Well, I'm glad I helped. I often have trouble sleeping too, but I guess your presence helped me as well." I chuckled as I looked at Josh, seeing his face scrunch up as he laughed and slightly stuck his tongue out. "Oh stop it, your cuteness will be the end of me." I teased, jokingly rolling my eyes at Josh, who smirked wildly.
"Thank you, Tyler. You're not too bad yourself, bud." Josh winked and laughed again, making me grin and slightly blush.
"Thanks Josh. And not just for the compliment, for everything you've done for me, despite only knowing me for like two days. I already feel like I've known you my whole life." I smiled shyly and touched his hand, which was laying in front of him.
"Anytime, Ty. I honestly feel like I've known you forever as well." Josh looked slightly shy and he inched his hand closer to me, touching our pinkies. "I can't believe we only just met on-" Josh smiled while talking, about to bring up our first conversation when my alarm clock suddenly cut him off.
"Shoot. It's 6:45. We should get ready to go." I sighed and both of us mutually got up together.
