Some call it the color of optimism
while others are suffocated by its pep-
the cheery color that drives the tortured to madness-
springing forth
as though warning us
that we can never banish such brilliance.
Where would we be
without lemonade,
lion's fur,
lilies, and sunlight's serenity?
We would undoubtedly
be lost in the cold
of a world
lacking this optimistic color,
missing the encouragement we feel
each time we hear a canary sing or watch a dandelion sway.
