I married him today. Trevelyan Rex Di Marco...

Sitting beside him as we face the town's mayor was the closest I was with him, in years. Hindi ko man gustong pakatitigan, I couldn't help but steal glances at him. He grew alot. I'd only get a glimpse of him for seconds, and then I'd turn away.
I didn't see him in years, after the prom. I only saw him again when he graduated, habang sinasamahan kong mamimili si Henry sa isang hardware.

His jaw was already prominent years ago. Now, he grew stubbles on it. His brown eyes looked darker than it did befoe. Everything about him now was more mature, intimidating, and hard. Walang nag iba sa kanya, masyado. Right now, he was just... more.

And I am more scared of this version of Trevelyan.

Even on our wedding day, everyone could see the anger in his eyes he try to hide.

I frowned. I know, Trevelyan. Kahit ako, ayaw ko nito. I just didn't have a choice and so are you.

“Do you, Trevelyan Rex, take Xerxes Marie to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love, to honor and to cherish?"

He cleared his throat. “Yes.”

Mayor Tan turned to me. “Do you, Xerxes Marie, take Trevelyan Rex to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love, to honor and to cherish?”

I shivered, but responded. “I do.”

Never in my life have I thought I'd ever be in this situation. I was even pretty sure that he'd get married with someone else, kagaya ng kathang isip ko noon. Only this time, I wouldn't be there at the guests and clap for them.

“I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride.”

For the first time, bumaling sa akin si Trevelyan. He had to stare down a little bit since he was much taller than me. I looked at him. His kiss landed at the corner of my lips, just enough to make people think that he did kiss me, and that he also wanted this marriage. Pumalakpak ang mga taong imbitado, now Trevelyan was smiling as he faced the people. I faked a smile.

My father wasn't able to make it. He isn't really happy about this.

“Bakit hindi mo nalang hayaang mabulok ang Di Marcong iyon sa kulungan?” his voice boomed all over the mansion, iyon lamang ang beses na sumalungat siya sa decision ni Papa. Even Tito Samuel was stunned.

“I'll get you out of this mess, I promise.” he said before he left, noong mailipat na ang aking mga gamit dito sa mansyon ng mga Di Marco. Now with the guests gone, I was left with Trevelyan and his family.

It was Trevelyan's room.

I figured that out the moment I entered it. Even the sheet of the bed and the pillows. It was so manly yet organized.
