I found it weird and slightly surprising when Justin, Sydney and I found ourselves at our swimming practice the next day. Our ability to meet together at our often missed swimming lesson proved that our group was finally back together.

Even our couch was surprised, "Look at that! The trio is back!"

Justin and I rolled our eyes on our way to the changing rooms. We began to remove our shirts revealing our naked chests and I couldn't help but stare at Justin's. His abs were perfectly carved despite the many missed swimming lessons, and the way his hair flopped on his head just made him even more attractive. "Are you enjoying the view?" Justin smirked.

I looked away awkwardly as my cheeks began to blush. When he realized I was too embarrassed to say anything to defend myself he walked towards me and caressed my cheek. "Don't worry. I couldn't help but check you out too"

I smiled, "Stop"

He let out a chuckle, "I love it when I flirt with you because you're always so awkward about it"

I crossed my arms when I knew he was right, "I hate you"

He smiled as he wrapped his arms around my waist, "Come on, let's go to the pool. Sydney's waiting for us." Them before walking away, he placed a chaste kiss on my lips.

Swimming practice went by quickly. Couch made us swim about fifteen laps, each with different swimming positions. Through it all, I had started thinking. My relationship with Justin was completely different now. Instead of being left in the friend zone, Justin was now reciprocating my feelings. The way he kissed me before leaving the changing rooms, and every time his hands were around my waist I couldn't contain the jittery butterflies in my stomach.

Contrary to my relationship with Kyle, whatever I had with Justin felt right.

Once our swimming practice ended, we decided to continue our tradition and spend the night at the ice cream cafe. The same vanilla scented cones and the sound of crepes sizzling on the pan culminated my senses. We sat at our booth and patiently waited for Kian to come take our order.

Justin held my hands on the table as he played with my fingers. I placed my head on his shoulder, yet my wet hair seeped through his shirt essentially making Justin's shoulder wet.

"Oops, sorry," I smiled cheekily.

"It's ok," Justin answered before placing a short kiss on my lips.

"Ugh I really need some new friends," Sydney groaned.

I put my tongue out and shook my head sideways jokingly, "I know you love us"

"Yeah yeah" she mocked sarcastically.

Kian came to our table a few minutes later and instantly made the connection when he spotted Justin and I's intertwines hands and my head on his shoulder. "Look at you two being so lovey dovey! I'm happy for you guys! What would you guys like to order?"

Justin laughed and held me tightly, "We'll have one pint of Alex's favorite, cotton candy ice cream to share and a bottle of water please"

"Alright, coming right up! And what about you" he turned to Sydney.

Once Kian got his full order he went back to the kitchen and began preparing the ice creams. Seeing Kian made me remember the boys I talked to before dating Justin in attempt to get over him. I couldn't believe I put myself out there when the only boy I truly loved was always going to be Justin.

When our ice creams came, I was quick to start digging in essentially blocking any space for Justin to get a bite. "I got this ice cream to share Alex!"
