Warning: While this book is set in a high school it is not for younger audiences. This is a, at times, graphic and violent book dealing with teen pregnancy, drugs, self harm, suicide, overdoses, manslaughter, drunk driving, sexual assault, rape, physical violence, abuse, alcohol, pornography, and plenty more topics not fit for younger readers. Please continue with maturity.

I just want to start out by saying a majority of major events in this book are based in fact. Every single character was written with a specific person in mind, including myself. Some of you may know I graduated high school a few years back and while writing this I am a Senior in college. I will not be revealing which point of view is mine but feel free to guess. All of these events are real things though some outcomes are changed or altered. As always with fiction, most of it is fiction but just know these are real events that happened in my life. It might seem cliché or even like there is too much going on but this is the brutal reality for hundreds of thousands of teens on a daily basis.

Ethnicities have been switched, names changed, sports changed, and so forth for obvious reasons but mindsets and personalities remain identical. Every change was made to make aspects less googleable for the privacy of others; please respect that. Many of you said you can't imagine the state of mind I went to in order to write QOTD and maybe I just like dark things or maybe this book is exactly why.

Every character in this book does morally fucked up things and is far from a role model, but they are still human. With that in mind, I hope you enjoy, because I certainly went back to a state of mind while writing this.

Please, give the characters a chance because you will not see their true colors until around chapter eight to ten. I could have written the beginning differently but I didn't want to compromise the emotions I had going into this piece.
