"I am never, I mean never, having a selection, Dad!" I yell.
"Sweetie, it's for Illéa. Please."
"Dad, I'm not going to do it. You can't force me."
Mom barges into the room, her hair a mess. "I heard yelling." She mumbles.
"Dad's trying to force me into a selection of my own!" I yell.
"Maybe it's what's best, Eadlyn." Mom coos. "Look where it got us." She looks over at Dad romantically. I gag.
"I am not five anymore! You can't make my decisions for me!"
"It's for your country, Eady. Please." Dad begs.
I know there is no way to get out of this. But, I try one last resort.
"Don't you love me?" I ask, my eyes begging for the right answer.
"Oh, Eady." Dad says, "I've always loved you.
"It didn't take me long to love you."
