the devil and the fox part 1

(There's just the fox man no one else)

Then the lucky cat prepared himself before announcing

"ATTENTION!The devil has awakened!"announced the lucky cat

The room fell silent when the white fox man started talking

"Well look who it is,the former prince of the devil faction here"said the king

"'You brought me here"responded astral

"Exactly and this is why he should leave immediately father,'he has recovered and is ready to go to wherever he came from"said the blonde fox girl with a hatred in her voice

'Seriously though What's her deal?'asked astral

"My daughter do not let your hatred consume you"warned the father before he turned to astral

"It is true that we brought you here and if we didn't want to help we wouldn't have picked you up"'said the king

"I know you helped me and I don't want to sound ungrateful but...why?I'm a devil,a part of the faction whom you're in bad terms with"asked astral

"It is true our relations with the devil faction has been better but it doesn't mean we can just leave someone dying,especially a person who has nowhere to go"said the king

"But that's not the only reason,sure you DID want to save me but there was a secondary motive"said astral

The king closed his eyes as if debating whether he should say his next words or not

"Exactly you must be aware of it but

Something is awakening

Something wild,destructive,uncontrollable but most importantly

Something chaotic"

"But what help am I against that beast?according to the legend it's unstoppable,the only way it was defeated was by the unification of all the races and kingdoms

And they still had to do it during its sleep"said astral

"We are not wishing for a fight,but simply as a measure of safety

All the fields it crosses rot as if it was a walking plague so we need to stay vigilant in case it was to ever appear here"'explained the king of youkai

"I see,so you didn't bring me here to use me"said astral believing the king a bit more

"Exactly which is why my daughter will take you to your room"said the king

His daughter,the princess lifted her hand for permission to talk

"Yes my daughter"

"'Father despite your wisdom and knowledge and all the respect we have for you but I refuse to have a devil live here"she said in cold yet calm voice

"He will stay here and this is final

This audience is over"announced the king of youkai

Then the princess got up from her seat and walked past astral

"Follow me,devil"she said in a cold tone

Astral followed her

As they were walking down the halls of the youkai kingdom astral couldn't help but ask

"Why do you hate me?so much?"

"It's because of your kind that my mother is on the other side"she said in a cold tone

"What do you mean?"he asked her

"Here is your room"she said not answering his question

And so she left while he just looked at her

"Okaaay"he said as he entered his presumed room

It was normal like any other room there was

He layed on the bed but couldn't sleep

'What am I supposed to do now that o have nowhere else to go?if I stay here it would hurt my pride as a prince (eyy)

But I have nowhere to go'he started thinking before his eyelids started getting heavier and heavier until he slept

Astral was in the dining hall with the king and his daughter

The air was so thick you could cut it with a knife,literally

"Sooo,how did you find your room?"asked the king

"It was good,but I cannot stay there for a long amount of time I have to go back"said astral

"And go where?"asked the king

Astral stopped,he was to preoccupied with his anger from the betrayal he experienced that he forgot to think of where he will go next

"I don't know but I'll figure it out,the all creator will find me a way"he said

"You say that but I can sense that deep inside your heart,I can feel that you don't know what you will do and that you are not ready yet to leave,both mentally and physically,the lack of energy will only last you two hours of walking"said the king

"I don't see the problem father,if he wishes to leave let him leave"said the daughter

"Yasaka!that is enough,you will learn to appreciate our guest whether you like it or not!"ordered the king to yasaka his daughter

She snarled as she left the room angrily without uttering a word

The king sighed with a sad expression as he looked down

"I am sorry if I'm disturbing your family"apologized astral

"No,don't be,you see,yasaka didn't always hate devils to this extent,before she was only cautious around them but it all changed after the death of her mother"said the king

"What do you mean?"asked astral intrigued

"Several years ago,her mother was on a trip for another faction to check on a friend of hers,I insisted on going with her but she refused and said that the trip should be a secret and that in case the devils decided to start a wat there would be someone to protect the land

But however a few days afterward a message arrived

She has been assassinated on her way back

We had no idea who it was,but yasaka was dead set on accusing the devils because of how we had bad relations with them,but as much as I wanted to believe her,the facts just didn't add up,the trip was a secret that no one knew about,but she got killed still

And it takes us now to the current time now"said the king

Astral started thinking,maybe he could help them back since they helped him so much already so he had to help them back

"I know,I will find the culprit and I'll prove her that devils aren't what they look like,well,not ALL devils and you can decide of the fate of the person who killed your wife,how does that sound?"he proposed to the youkai king

"Alright,I suppose I can let you take care of it"

However unknown to them,yasaka heard the entire conversation from behind the doors

"Don't make me laugh"she said in anger

'As if a devil would do something like this'she thought to herself

'Right?

Mother?'she asked as she looked up at the sky

I could've just made a long chapter but I don't think I'd like it that way which is why I'm doing this in a three part chapters
