The eyes of my mother

She's old and tired
Of everything that's been happening
But she still holds on for us.

She says she wants to runaway
But her wheelchair squeaks too much.
I know it's love that's holding her down.

And there she goes,
Breaking down yet again
She says she's have had enough,
She doesn't want to stay on this earth
But she still holds on for us.

She wants me to go out
And live the very best of my life
But I know she can't let me get out of her sight.
I know she's scared,
Of abandonment
But i can't protect her
Yet, still again.

Sometimes she forgets my name
And lately we've been fighting alot
But i hope she knows
I will protect her wherever she goes
As always smiles
As she holds on again for us.

The eyes of my old, broken and beautiful mother
Holds so much frustation
As she says she wants to run away
Yet, again.
She can't even stay away
From us for a day.

We mess around everyday
Making fun of my brothers and sisters
She laughs and she breakdowns
Yet, again.

I will hold her
Through her sorrows and grieves
I hope I can protect her
I hope she knows
She is so precious.
To me.

Lately we've been fighting
But her embrace is always
So warm and tight
As if I am her whole world.

I am always at peace when she smiles.
