Chapter Twenty-Seven

Aaliyah's POV

I woke up to Zion with his arms wrapped around me.

"Zion let go." I said trying to squirm out of his grip

"Why?" He buried his head in the crook of my neck.

"I need to pee." I whined while trying to pry his arms off of me. With that he let me go and I walked to the bathroom.

I did my business, brushed my teeth and washed my face and headed downstairs.

"Good morning momma." I said sitting at the island.

"Morning Liyah." She said making coffee.

"How was your sleepover?" He asked me.

"It was good." Zion answered for me as he came down the stairs.

"Good morning Zion." She waved at him.

"Good morning Mrs.Monroe." He smiled while sitting down next to me.

"Well you guys are smiley today." She smiled at us.

"Yeah we just had a really good time last night." Zion smiled slyly at me causing to secretly hit him.

"Like what?" My mom asked.

"What happens at a bestie sleepover, stays at a bestie sleepover." I said flashing her a smile.

"Did we wake you up last night?" I asked her.

"You guys did surprisingly." She said sarcastically making me and Zion's eyes go wide.

"When?" Zion asked.

"When y'all 'snuck out' through the front door." She laughed. I let out a sigh in relief.

"Well that was Zion's idea." I pointed at him.

"Well you decided to come with me." He said back.

"And you two left these mother fucking cookies out." She scolded us.

"I was telling Aaliyah I wanted those cookies but she gave me another one so..." Zion shrugged.

I gave him that "shut up before I kill you" look.

"You guys are being weird so I'mma go to work now." My mom said narrowing her eyes then grabbed her stuff.

"Bye Mom." I waved at her.

"Bye Mrs.Monroe." Zion smiled at her.

"Bye kids, see you later." She waved before she walked out the door.

I waited till I heard her open her car door before I attacked Zion.

"Ow mamas." Zion yelled as I jumped on him and started hitting him.

"I'm gonna beat your ass." I said hitting him between words.

"Chill Liyah." He said tryna grab me.

"Fine." I said getting off of him.

"You know I wanna kill you right?" I asked him.

"I don't know why." He said acting like he was confused.

"So you tryna act dumb?" I said.

"What? I was just being honest with your dearest mother." He shrugged.

"You're so ugly." I laughed at him.

"Shut up and gimme a kiss." He said wrapping his arms around me.

"No, you're ugly." I said pushing his face away from me.

"That's not what you were saying last night." He said catching me off guard and gave me a kiss.
