Happy Birthday, Marco! :D
A chapter dedicated to Marco.

Like usual, the bustling and noisieness of class 2A never faltered and seemed to increase as the hour went on. It was currently their history lesson with Mr Smith but like the majority of their other lessons, during the times when they were supposed to be doing work, they were allowed to talk to each other but usually this meant talking about off-topic things and not get any of the work done. Mr Smith was not too passionate about this topic and so couldn't care less about what the students where currently doing unless they got too loud in which he would yell at them, causing them to fall silent, only for them to return to their noisy state and the cycle would continually repeat.

Some students were usually bored by this lesson and so chose not to participate, completely just daydreaming and dozing off, refusing to do the work set for them. Students like: Jean Kirschtein. Jean layed back on his chair and stared at the door. His eyes refusing to leave it for one second. His fellow classmates and friends looked at the boy who was being unusually quiet. During this lesson he would be loud and obnoxious but not today. His eyes refused to move from the door.

However, everyone continued talking amongst themselves.

"Hey, Jean, are you going to enter?" The brunette foodie asked, snacking on some ramen that she had brought into class. The girl's voice snapped the boy out of his trance and turned to look at her with a questioning look on his face. "Enter?" He asked. "Enter what?"

"Did you already forget?" Connie asked, snickering, a little. "The talent show of course!"

"Isn't that in Autumn? People haven't even been asked to sign up yet" Jean replied.

"Still, everyone's preparing from now. They want the whole summer to prepare for it" Connie said.

Jean shook his head and turned to face the door once again, looking concerned and was knocked out of this trance, yet again, by the short-haired boy who knocked Jean on his head. "Are you okay, Jean-boy? You look like even more of an idiot today" Connie said, earning a growl from Jean.

"Don't call me that! And you're one to talk!" He yelled.

Sasha finished up slurping her ramen before proceeding to eat some chocolate. "I know what the problem is" She said and continued to munch on her chocolate bar. "Marco hasn't been in all day"
Jean blushed, lightly, before turning his head away from the twins.
"Oh, that's right, Sasha" Connie said and smirked. "You must be worried as to where he is. You must miss him sooo much"

Jean didn't respond and only proceeded to look at the door which, only, confirmed what Sasha and Connie were thinking, causing them to chuckle which made Jean's face turn an even darker shade of pink. "What's it to you two"
The two laughed even louder. "You're blushing so much, Jean-boy" Connie said.
"What do you expect from a boy in love, Connie" Sasha remarked.

Jean stood up, abruptly, from his seat and spoke. "Mr Smith, may I please be excused? I need to go to the toilet" He stated. Mr Smith nodded and Jean left the room. He didn't, actually, need to use the toilet and used it as an excuse to ditch class so he could search for Marco. Jean had to go straight home, yesterday, and so missed Basketball practice and later that day, he couldn't get in contact with Marco and so became, indescribably, worried about the black-haired boy. Then, he wasn't in today. Jean couldn't help but become even more worried.

Upon walking past, Class 2B, he heard a few familiar voices talking.
"He got injured. He had to leave, immediately" Bertholdt said, barely above a whisper.
"Where is he?" Ymir asked.
"He's in the nurse's office, isn't he? He hasn't been in lesson all day, today" Reiner said.

Those few were in the basketball club as well, Jean, immediately, knew that they were talking about the freckled boy whom was also in the basketball club. Jean ran towards the nurse's room, running at such a fast pace and as he ran past a few of the classrooms, teacher's poked their heads out of the doors to see who was running past. A few even tried to stop him but he refused to stop.

When he arrived at the nurse's office, he slammed open the door to reveal the black-haired boy, sitting on the bed.

"Oh, Je-"

"Idiot!" Jean yelled, causing Marco to startle. "You're injured and you didn't even tell me! Idiot!"

"I didn't want to worry you. You should be focussed on your lessons and not worrying about my injury. It's not yours" Marco replied. "How did you know where I wa-"

"Are you crazy?! Not contacting me, not showing up in lessons...all of that caused me to worry" He yelled.

"Jean, it's rude to cut people off mid-sentence" Marco remarked, earning a sigh and an eye roll from the other boy. "How did you know where I was?"

"It doesn't matter! You're too selfless for your own good, Marco!" Jean shouted, after calming down, a little, he sat down next to Marco and examined his arm. "How's your arm"

"It's fine" Marco said. "It's not broken. No need to worry"

"Selfless jerk" Jean said. "Was I...am I still supposed to not worry?"

"I bet you skipped your lesson, as well. Maybe you're the selfless jerk" Marco said and chuckled a little. Jean remained in silence and moved some of his hair out of his face. Marco continued to chuckle and stroke Jean's hair. "It's times like this where I know you're not selfish. You care about others"

"You don't have to state it" Jean replied, blushing. Before Marco could say anything more, Jean placed a kiss on Marco's lips, quickly, before pulling away, an even darker blush, coating his face. A blush formed on Marco's face also.

Marco smiled at the boy next to him before continuing to chuckle at how flustered the boy was.
