Cooking | May x Drew

May and Drew have started travelling together due to some reasons, which Drew deemed are better than what May seemed to have thought.

Currently, they were travelling to Ecruteak city and we're now taking a break due to May's ranting. It was night though, so even if Drew wanted to continue he knew that it would be just like risking your life by jumping off a cliff and thinking that you'd survive. So here they were, Drew setting up their tent while May igniting the fire so that Drew could cook. She had insisted on cooking the dinner but Drew would simply resist it because he knew how the damsel had been cooking since the past few days of her journey.

After all, her being such a hopeless damsel was the only reason Drew had proposed that the latter should travel with him. And since the girl was completely clueless, she just went with the flow not realising what the consequences would come.

It was already eight in the night, and they still hadn't prepared their dinner. How could have Drew, he was already busy with the tent then how was he supposed to prepare the meal. But nevertheless, he wouldn't give the cooking job to May. Because, well reasons.

"Drew! Let me cook this once!"

May gagged, her hands flailing on her sides as she came to Drew who was still busy with the tent. Drew grunted for the fifteenth time as he shot May a glare, clearly stating 'the fuck no, you're not cooking'. May pouted at his rude response but nevertheless went and plopped on the log where they were supposed to be eating while sitting.

She looked at Drew, he was working so hard right now. And that was when it hit her, why wasn't she helping him? If she helped, they would be done with the tent soon and then Drew could cook them dinner!

Just when the idea popped inside her mind, Drew's voice ranged in her ears, "Don't you dare come and help me with the tent. It will become worse!"

She felt offended but kicked Drew's warning aside and ran inside the tent to hold its top up, easy enough for Drew to quickly adjust the straps and the sides of the tent. Drew was surprised as to how could May would be helping him without creating any trouble or making it double. Shrugging the amusement aside, the two immediately set up their tent and soon Drew went to cook the food.

May felt guilty to see her former partner/rival doing all the work while her just sitting and chilling out, so she made a decision.

'I am going to learn to cook'

With that motivation, she went and stood behind Drew, tapping his shoulder to get his attention. He turned around and immediately May shoved him aside by making him sit on the log and stood in front of their natural stove (just fire lol). She looked back at Drew and gave him a content smile indicating, 'just let me do the cooking this time.'

Drew sighed in defeat as May faced the stove. He then stood up and walked behind May and whispered in her ear with a sigh.

"Fine, but I'll guide you throughout because I don't trust your cooking skills."

His warm breath tickled the skin beneath her ears as soon a tinge of red covered the tips of her ears and her cheeks. May controlled herself from bursting into fits of embarrassment and slowly turned to face him while answering,
