MERRY CHRISTMAS
"hey! look outside!" a small voice yells inside the house, waking the older girl up. she groggily walks out of the bedroom, a quilt draped over her shoulder. she groans, eyes squinting when she sees her younger sister staring outside the open window.
"it's too cold, melon. close the windows." she mumbles, annoyed by the cold breeze that enters their home. the younger shakes her head and gestures for the older one to come and watch with her. "no, come here. it's snowing!"
"really?" the older's sleep vanishes and she rushes towards the open window. snow falls down slowly over their garden. "wow, it really is."
"what is today's date, sis?" the younger asks, looking at her sister who is now fascinated by the white blanket outside. the older unconsciously reaches for her phone and shows the date to her sister. the younger gasps, "it's christmas!"
