I woke up the next morning next to Lexus "Why am I in your bed?" I asked her a little confused
"You fell asleep in the cab so I carried you up here" I raised my eyebrows and rolled back around to go to sleep "I'm going out with Nick to discuss a few things"
"What the guy from GetScared?" she winked at me and put the spare house key next to me "See you later Lexus" I looked at the date on my phone. I'd been here for 2 months, I'd spoked to my parents a few times and just said I was out here for business but thinking about it I don't think I even had a job anymore apart from the casual waitressing I did almost every night anyway. I must have fallen back to sleep for a while because I was awoken by my phone ringing. I looked at the caller ID. Unknown. I crossed my eyes and answered "Hello?"
"Hi"
"Who is this?"
"Ronnie" I shot up in bed
"Err hey what's up?" Why the hell was Ronnie calling me if he wanted to forget about last night?
"Erm last night, did you just do it to get at Jacky?" I thought for a moment before replying
"That was the plan but I kind of enjoyed it" I smiled to myself thinking about how amazing it was. Ronnie giggled slightly "Well save my number I'll call you again later" I was about to reply but he hung up. I tapped his digits into my phone contact book and shut the lid of my phone. weird I thought to myself as I got out of bed and put some clothes on. I could hear the home phone ringing so I ran into the living room to answer it "Hello Deven speaking"
"Hey it's Joe" Joe was my boss
"Oh Hey Joe you want me to come in tonight?" I was feeling pretty keen on working tonight
"No actually I don't want you to come in tonight, or ever again"
"What are you talking about Joe?" I was really confused
"I'm laying you off, we got a permanent worker your jobs done, I'll pay you off for this week, see you around"
"What!" but he'd put the phone down. I slammed the phone back down on the table and pulled at my hair "Urghhh" Lexus then walked in with Nick
"Everything okay?" I smiled at them
"Yeah fine apart from the fact I just got sacked" she looked a little dissapointed but obviously Lexus had something to smile at "So what are you so smiley about?" she looked to Nick and then looked at me "Me and Nick are getting married" I laughed
"Lexus don't joke with me" but she wasn't by the look on her face "You two are getting married? I didn't even know you were together" she giggled
"Well we wanted to keep it to ourselves because if people on the internet find out stuff they get silly and that's how most of my relationships end" I smiled at them
"I'm happy for the both of you" I walked back into Lexus's room and grabbed my make up bag. I guess I was job hunting today then, I made my self look presentable and left the appartment. I swear I walked for miles looking in windows and all sorts but there was nothing, maybe I should just go home. I trapsed back home feeling really down with myself.
Arriving at the house I put on a smile for Lexus I didn't want to bring her day down. But she looked a little upset "Deven we need to talk" I followed her into her room so we could talk without Nick hearing "I'm moving out of here and you're going to have to go too because I said there was only one person living here" I shut my eyes for a second trying to register what she was saying. "Lexus I'm going home anyway" she looked at me and smiled
