This is my chance! My chance to finally escape this hellhole!

I took up the paper clip that laid idly against the cold metal bars of my cage and started clicking the last lock into place. I've been waiting patiently for a moment like this to arrive; I took notes about when or where my 'master' would go for the time being and finally found a short break of 4 hours to get out and run away from this place. It was ironic. This was the same paper clip 'master' would've used to torture me and leave my blood out to dry. Click~

I started pulling up the tightrope that 'master' made specifically to make my day worse. He would lay me on the ground and make me pull my weight all the way to the top of the table just for the heck of it. Well... that was the only thing he never accounted for. Now I can use this to get to the floor and somehow run all the way down the stairs to the main door.

My legs strained from each jump down every single step but, it was nothing compared to the pain I felt when he would starve me. Each step was a little light bulb, lighting up the way to freedom. I wouldn't dream of giving up this opportunity in a million years even after death. He was now at some place called a 'strippers' club' and from what I heard from his malicious voice, it was a place where I would never hope of seeing or experiencing. Heh... let's see how much his composure will drop when he notices my disappearance.

I leaped off the final stair and took a short breather so my lungs wouldn't spontaneously combust from the amount of strain I'm putting on them. I slumped against the wooden step and recalled the day I got captured. The fires lit up the night sky as they shone brightly without much thought of the surroundings. The darned giants found our village and took us all to various places, I guess the pet store was one of them... click.

My eyes widened to the sudden interjection of noise. I quickly leapt aside to hide behind a leg of a table and peeked my head out the corner of the darkness... there he was. "Oh dolly~~~." His sing-song voice was hidden with a much more murderous intent... one barely held back. "Your master's home~~ Come... scream for me." This was usually my cue to screech for food and beg for mercy, but no more. This is the day and moment that I control. You can't take that away from me.

"Dolly~~ You'll be punished if you don't sing with your maiden voice~" His voice suddenly deepens as his facial expression changed into... the look. "Dolly... you asked for it." He whispered under his breath as his maniacal face showed as he took the stairs one step at a time. He's going to check the cage! I have to move now!

I ran to the door and squeezed under it, breathing the first breath of fresh air in years... but this was no time to rejoice, not yet. I ran towards the road the kept me away from the forest, the forest where my parents might still be at. Suddenly, a foot stomped down right in front me, making me stumble and fall down in a haze. I looked up the towering figure as my body shook in fear and angst. He was huge... BAM!

I snapped my heads backwards towards the devils' house, to see my worst nightmares come true. "Oh... there you are." He was somehow out of breath as he smiled with a straight face, masking the ferocious intent hiding underneath. "Boy, could you be so kind to hand her back to me?" I looked back at him, the 'boy' that stared back at me. He squatted down and started reaching for me... but something seemed wrong. His hand was shaking. I then did something that would change my fate for the better or the worst; I jumped right onto his hand.

He was shocked, but I had no time to think about that. I had basically given my life 'onto his hands'. I sat down on his open palm stared lifelessly at the background, taking in my last memory of the outside world. "Ah... it seems like she had chosen to go back to me herself, could you give it back to me?" His smile was strained and his voice was started to break. I leaned against the boys' fingers to wait for my judgement... "No."
