To the writers, young and old;
Pouring out their souls into words;
Turning imagination into pure gold;
Writing on, whether or not they’re heard;
Creating masterpieces, everyday;
Through genius and active minds;
They see the world in a different manner;
Simply writing, scribbling away;
Letting words fly, not lost or confined;
Whether on the spot, or through a planner.

And as the words spill into the notebook;
They will smile with satisfaction;
At their character’s life they took;
Imagining their readers’ reaction;
Yet, they don’t mind, whether or not they hate it;
For they will not be faltered by rude remarks;
They will not be torn down by prejudice;
Nor will they fall, nor will they quit;
Held up by inspiration, ‘til they reach their mark;
And they will live on, for us to reminisce.
