how can you?

I will never understand
why people are so mean
what can they gain from it?
a ghost laughing
at their stupidity?
someone thinking they're cool?

I don't think most people understand
how words and actions affect people
differently

if someone said the very same thing
you said to that girl to you
you may not care
but maybe that girl does

how can you be so mean
without knowing who that person is?
how can you assume that
that person will take it as a joke?
did you ever make sure
they weren't offended?
is it fair to be mean to someone that
barely talked to you?
how can you do that?
