Iván's POV

I woke up to the sun burning my face and I fucking hated it, only because it reminded me that I had to wake to go to school. Just fucking great. I dragged myself out of bed and opened the curtains to let light in and walked to my bathroom to take a shower. I stripped out of my sweatpants and boxers and walked in the shower once it was warm. I washed my hair with shampoo and conditioner, rinsed it out, then washed my body with my AXE body wash and rinsed my body off. After I made sure all the soap was out of my hair and off my body, I got out of the shower and dried myself off. I then went to my closet to get a white shirt, black jeans that were ripped a little on the knees and got dressed. Then, I got a belt and put them on my jeans and went to get my all black high top Vans and went back into my bathroom to dry my hair and fixed it a little. Once I was all dressed, I went back to my desk in my room and took out a pendulum that belonged to my brother and looked at it for a few seconds and started having a memory of him.

~Flashback~

I shouted at my brother, "Hurry up bro, let's go show these losers how to really play Basketball since they obviously need some pointers."

I then waited for him since he was too busy on his phone with who knows what.

"Alright, hold up!"

He finally gets off the phone and reaches me before we continue our way to the basketball courts.

I sigh dramatically and say, "Finally! Who were you even talking to?"

"I was talking to dad, he needs me later for a mission."

"I won't have anything to do later, so can I come? Dad never lets me go on missions with you for some reason."

I rolled my eyes at how stupid it was of my dad to basically bench me from missions my brother did.

He laughed, "You can blame mom for that, she doesn't want you involved with the pack business, she says it's already bad enough I'm a part of it."

I roll my eyes and say, "She shouldn't care though, I mean, she married dad knowing he was a part of the most feared wolf pack in California."

We both laughed, but then I got serious and asked my brother, "Hey, you know mom isn't the only one who worries about you. I mean, every time you go on a mission, I worry that I might not ever see you again, like how do you know you might not just one day disappear and leave me, mom, and dad?"

I looked down and didn't want to look him in the eyes because I was too afraid he might think I was being stupid or just speaking nonsense.

"Hey, look at me."

I finally lifted my head and looked him straight in the eyes.

"I can't guarantee that I will always make it home safely, but I promise you that I will never leave you, I will always be with you, I promise."

He smiled at me and I smiled back. We started walking to the courts, those guys were waiting for us and we, of course, beat them.

~End of Flashback~

I smiled, at the memory and then tucked the pendulum inside my shirt, put on my leather jacket as I headed out the door. Once I was downstairs, I was automatically greeted by my mom when I entered the kitchen.

"Morning sweetie, how did you sleep?"

"Morning mom." I kissed her on the cheek and went to sit on a stool while waiting for my mom to set a plate of food for me to eat on the island separating us and said, "I slept fine, you?"
