chapter 3

The bell rings and I rush out of the classroom ,I seriously didn't have time for another lecture or the whole speech of taking  pride in my work from Mr Fisher ,I later catch up with Samantha aka Sam as well as Alex the good looking friend of mine with dashing grey eyes

"Hi" Alex greets with a smile ,my heart feels like melting on the spot when I see that smile of his ,if only...

"So I see your late again Chris ,why don't you ever wake up early" ,Sam complains as she rolls her eyes

"I do wake up early" I say with a smirk

"Oh wait don't tell me ,you totally forgot about today's test right  and thought it was Saturday as usual ,that explains the look you had when you were writing ,your screwed"

"Hey cut it out Sam ,am sure Christina will kill that paper as all her other ones ,you should know by now she is a genius when it comes to chemistry ,she doesn't need to study ,it comes naturally"  ,Alex says and hugs me gently,what would  I do without his positivity

"Do you always have to take her side the whole time ,you two should just date already , your perfect for each other",Sam says as she flicks her hair

"Listen Sam it's not like that ,we just good friends and by the way I have to go now so I'll catch up with you two later",Alex says as he walks to the chess club

I wave goodbye as I stare at him ,oh my, those gorgeous legs ,I know it sounds weird starring at a guys  legs but I just couldn't help it ,it was just perfection ,to add to it his beautiful black silk hair...

"Chris!" ,Sam screams forcing me to wake up
"You shouldn't be doing that" ,"doing what?" I ask
"You know what am talking about, the glaring, you should cut it out" ,Sam says with a laugh ,"I wasn't doing anything why are you making up things "

"Oh! ,now am making up things, is it my fault that  now you're crushing on our new boyfriend" she says and later wicks
"What do you mean our?",I say dragging  the word 'our' longer than expected

"Am kidding!"Sam laughs even louder  while hitting me gently on my arm ,drawing more unnecessary attention

I just roll me eyes at her stupidity and we later walk to the cafeteria.

When we get to the cafeteria ,we sit down at our favourite spot as we chat ,laugh and eat ,talking about the stupid things I always seem to be doing ,for example not studying for a test paper that weighs like 65% of my total chemistry marks at the end of the session

How my blood is boiling at the moment,  at my own stupidity I just couldn't believe the fact that my good for nothing brain couldn't remember...

"Why are you so useless you can't do anything right, all you can do is ruin my reputation", dad kept on screaming as he kept swinging his belt,"I-I-I ","your what ,ah!"

this time I couldn't take it ,I couldn't talk because of all the hitting ,"you're good for nothing ,do you know that  , your good for nothing brain doesn't seem to think of creative non-threating things ,dad cursed me further, although what he said didn't make any sense I found myself apologising infact pleading . "I'm sorry fa-fa-father I swear I would never do that again ,it's just that guy was..." ,"Was what ,SHUT UP! "dad lifted me up from the floor and...

"Chris are you ok ,what are  you thinking about , you're legit killing that delicious slice of sandwich ,if you didn't want it ,you could have given it to me you know",Sam jokes 

"Hey you can't take my sandwich ,am hungry" ,I say as I laugh at her joke, looking down at the slice of bread that now  decorates the table with bits of green, brown and red
