Y/N sat alone on a dock, looking out into the sunset. Asuka noticed him as she walked by, then changed course to stand beside him.

Asuka - Y/N-Kun? Why are you all alone?

Y/N - Huh? Oh, hey Asuka... Sorry, I didn't hear what you said.

Asuka - Why are you sitting alone?

Y/N sighed, and looked back to the ocean. Asuka frowned, then sat beside him.

Asuka - Hey...

Y/N - ...

Asuka - It's okay, you can tell me as much or as little as you want.

Y/N - I just- *Sigh* I miss my family... and my friends practically disowned me.

Asuka frowned again, then scooted closer to him.

Asuka - Well...

She wrapped her arms around him, and squeezed him tightly.

Asuka - If nobody is, I'm always here for you.

Y/N said nothing in return, but leaned against her, letting his actions do the talking.

Asuka - 'I never really thought about it, but Y/N-Kun is still a kid... I have to do my best to protect him.'

They stayed like that for a while, until they left to go to bed, as it was getting dark.

-During The Night-

Asuka breathes softly as she slept, as did Y/N, who laid next to her. The window next to their bed opened slowly, and two small figures crept into the room. They carefully untangled Asuka's arms from around Y/N, and they silently dragged him out the window.

??? - Dude, why did you bring all of those rocks?

??? - I like rocks, man.

Unbeknownst to the two, the second figure was dropping rocks as he walked, but was completely oblivious.

-Morning-

Asuka opened her eyes slowly, and yawned, sprawling out on her bed. Once she finished stretching, she noticed Y/N wasn't next to her, which she brushed off, since this was common. She got up, put on a white tank top and green short shorts, then left her room to go to the kitchen.

Ikaruga - Good morning, Asuka-San. How did you sleep?

Asuka - Fine... Mm, where's Y/N-Kun?

Ikaruga looked surprised, and stopped what she was doing.

Ikaruga - Huh? I thought he was still sleeping...

This woke Asuka up a little.

Asuka - Wait, you mean you didn't see him?

Ikaruga - No... he always greets me when he comes through here.

Asuka started to get worried, and she speed walked to the Central Hut, and looked around frantically. Her behavior got the attention of some of the other Shinobi.

Homura - What's the deal, Asuka?

Asuka - I can't find Y/N...

Miyabi - Hm? Didn't you say he always wakes up before you?

Asuka - Well, he does, but none of my team saw him leave...

The girls started to realize the weight of the situation.

Yumi - Y-You don't think he's been...

Homura put her hand Yumi's shoulder reassuringly.

Homura - Y/N's a tough kid, I'm sure he's fine.
