Thursday 4pm
GIRLS POV:-
With a big smile on my face, I opened my apartment door thinking I would surprise my roommate for her birthday; only to be pulled inside by a pair of hands which didn't belong to my roommate.
The said hands covered my mouth and slammed me onto the wall, pinning both my hands above my head. Terrified I looked straight into the eyes of the uninvited man who looked pissed as hell.
The crazy and angry look on his face made me stop from moving, he buried his head on my nape. I could feel his hot and frantic breath. He slowly kissed my nape and started moving towards my jaw, frozen in fear of the unknown I made no sound. He leaned his whole body against mine and slowly whispered "Who was that guy???"
He pulled back a little and looked dead into my eyes, I gave him a confused look. He crooked his head and said "The son of a b***h you were talking to so happily in the morning" venom pouring out of every word he said.
~A few months ago 6 am ~
I woke up to my alarm, I got up and knocked into my roommate's door. "Wake up Malesa" I shouted as I knocked it again.
I got ready and made breakfast when I heard the main door open and close. Smiling I looked over my shoulder and saw my devastated looking roommate walk in with a slight limp.
I gave her a knowing look, she just rollers her eyes at me.
"Morning......." I said sounding chirpy which I knew was going to frustrate her.
"Augh..... Just shut up" she said as she sat down on the chair her voice cracking a little.
"Well someone had quite the night...." I said wiggling my eyebrows, finishing my breakfast.
"Amy, just go to work will you..." she said frustrated.
I looked at my phone and got up quickly, not wanting to try my luck poking the already angry beast.
I got to my workplace a cafe and punched in, I said HI to my coworkers and started my task like I always do. Work for 7 hrs some times 8 hrs and go to college for a lecture and go home. This was a normal thing for me and I liked it like that.
I reached home at 7 pm, I made dinner for myself knowing that Malesa might be out again tonight. She isn't a bad person, she just works the evening shift at a bar/restaurant, which leads to a couple of one night stands and handovers. She has a more lively life than mine, which also makes my normal mornings a bit exciting.
I took a quick shower and hit the books for a few hours, finally, when my eyes couldn't keep up with me anymore I went to sleep.
<Next morning.......>
Waking up to my alarm, I knocked on my roommate's door again. "Wake up Malesa" I shouted as I knocked again.
I got ready like usual and was making my breakfast when a pair of hands circle around my waist and I felt a peck on my shoulder, making me freeze in place.
"Excuse me....." I head from behind, making the stranger turn around and quickly remove himself from me. "Out...." she shouted.
"Sorry, but I...." he started but she said more firmly "OUT......"
I heard his footstep leave the kitchen and soon heard the main door slam. Still frozen in my spot I tried to smile and play it cool, when I felt Malesa's hand rub my back. "You, ok" she asked.
I nodded and smiled "I'm ok. He just hugged me." I said trying to convince her and myself that it was ok.
This wasn't the only time this happened and that wasn't the worst thing that has happened to me, some drunkard tried to force himself on me when I visited Malesa's workplace. I was saved by a stranger sitting beside me but since then I freeze up every time someone touches me from behind. It's became like a trauma and Malesa understands that and she calms me down every time, she is a very good person and a friend.
After that small episode, I went to work and worked normally let's say, I just avoided touching my coworkers and customer more than usual. I knew they could feel something was off about me but they didn't pry onto it and I was glad they didn't. I didn't have any lecture so I texted Malesa if she was off work but unfortunately she had to cover someone's shift today.
That night Malesa came home early, she entered my room slamming my door into the wall. "Amy, you won't believe what happened today!!!!" she said grabbing my hand with a high pitched voice "you know the guy who grabbed you this morning, he came to the pub again and I flipped him off for mistaking you for me. Like hello, you slept with me, how can you not make a difference between a bob-haired brunette and a long black haired girl. Then a group of guys came and dragged him away. I thought they were his friends but.......when I was coming back home I saw him beaten up limping down the street with plaster in his hands. I know I shouldn't say this but I was so happy to see that, he might have pissed those guys too...." she grinned like a mad man.
I smiled and patted her head "That's not a good thing to say" I said "He made a mistake, but yeah I feel a bit happy about it."
She grinned wider and hugged me "Amy, I hope you can find someone who can cure you fear of being touched someday" she said concerned.
"Hay, I'm not afraid of touching people, I'm just not good with sudden physical contact" I argued.
"Ugh.... It's the same thing" she eye rolled.
And a few days passed without any disturbance in my life, the only thing different was that Malesa stopped bringing guys back. She stayed out some days but otherwise, we were back to square one. Until valentines day I got a rose from my co-worker.....
And that's when I realised that things don't look what they seem..........
