XIV. In Between The Strings

"Congrats, Jungkook. You did it! Your father must be very proud" Yee Eun congratulate him for his success on the product.

"Thanks, but I couldn't do it without the help of my co-workers. Ah, I should go to them, and maybe I can get us a drink on my way back." Jungkook got up from his seat.

"Thank you," Yee Eun smiled.

Jungkook wandered around the hall to find his co-workers. A smile formed on his face when he saw Jaebum and Min Gyu from afar. He walked to them with joy in his heart, but then, he held his step back when he overheard their conversation.

"President Jeon must have been very happy seeing his crown prince doing so well in his job." Jaebum said.

"Yeah, but still, he should at least thank us for taking care of his filial child. If it wasn't for us, I don't think that he would nailed this." Min Gyu chuckled.

Jaebum sipped his champagne, "But, I have to say, he got potential. He's good. But, if he wanted to top Junhoe, he still need to learn a lot."

"Yeah, even though he replaces Junhoe in our department, it will be very hard for him to be at Junhoe's level." Min Gyu said.

Jungkook tighten his fists. Hearing those words from his co-worker does pissed him off. But, no, he won't come at them. Instead, he'll show them what he really capable of.

"Oh, guys! You guys won't believe who I met at my table!" Yunhyeong barged in. Making both Jaebum and Min Gyu looked at him surprisingly.

"Park Chaeyoung! Yes, Chaeyoungie as our Junhoe's girlfriend!" Yunhyeong continued.

Not only Min Gyu and Jaebum, but Jungkook who was just eavesdropping from afar was surprised by Yunhyeong's news. Is it the Park Chaeyoung he knew? And also this whole thing about Junhoe guy mixed up in his mind.

"Mwo? What is she doing here?" Min Gyu asked.

"She's the staff of HG's SMD!" Yunhyeong answered.

Jaebum almost choked on his champagne. "Yah! So, that Park Chaeyoung from HG is Junhoe's girlfriend? How come I didn't know... Yeah, right because I'm new to this gang, that made me the only one who never met his girlfriend before."

Jungkook's eyes widened when he heard Jaebum's words. So, it's really his Chaeyoung that they were talking about. His curiosity for this Junhoe guy is very high now.

"It's been a long time since we last saw her. Too bad, Junhoe had to leave her. I was hoping one day I could come to their wedding." Min Gyu said with his head low.

Yunhyeong pat on his shoulder, "Don't do that, we promised him we'll be okay. Let's just find our crown prince instead, we need to congratulate him."

"Yeah, let's go." Min Gyu was about to turned his body around. And Jungkook quickly disappeared to avoid them.

On his way back to his table, only one thing that bothered him so much.

"Who is this Junhoe guy?" He asked himself.

And with that, he just knew what should he do to find out about him.
