XIV. In Between The Strings

Jin Young was taken aback by Min Hyun's answer. He felt really bad for ruining and stealing his Assistant Manager slash best buddy's date. "Uh, in that case... I'm really sorry Assistant Manager Hwang, you didn't say that you wanted to ask her before... If you did, I would find myself another date or maybe ask Yuju instead." Jin Young scratched the back of his head

Min Hyun cracked a laugh, "It's okay Jin Young, I'm happy that she go with you instead. Oh, and about Yuju, hmmm... I don't think that she'll said yes to you, because..." He turned his gaze around.

Chaeyoung and Jin Young followed his gaze to see Yuju and Jaebum in their table, having some kind of interesting conversation that made Yuju couldn't stop smiling ear to ear.

"Aigoo! Yuju-yah, Congratss! Aww... She finally get him to asked her as his date." Chaeyoung squealed as if Yuju could heard her from here.

"Yahh, she's totally living her dream, isn't she?" Jin Young added.

"Good for her." Min Hyun smiled at the scene, and turned his gaze back, "Oh, yeah, please be seated, I think the MC is about to open the launch."

Three of them sat on their round table with 3 other people from J-Tech, one of them is another staffs of J-Tech's SMD and Chaeyoung knew him as Junhoe's co-worker in that department.

"Chaeyoung-ah? Wah, I didn't know you work for HG!" That man exclaimed.

"Yunhyeong Oppa! How have you been!"

"Good, I've been good! You?" Yunhyeong replied. And the two continued to catch up.

Seeing how familiar the two with each other, Min Hyun asked them, "Sorry, but you guys seem very familiar with each other, how did you guys know each other?"

He was kind of curious because he remembered that this Yunhyeong guy, didn't showed up at their first meeting.

"Ah, yeah, I should have introduced myself first, my apology. I'm Song Yunhyeong, from J-Tech SMD. I'm her boy--" Before he could continued, Chaeyoung cut him. Afraid thst he would introduce himself as he boyfriend's best buddy.

"Friend, he's my friend." Chaeyoung looked at him with a smile plastered on her face, hoping he didn't correct her. Because it will be very uncomfortable for her to explain things about Junhoe and his death right here, right now.

"Yeah... Yeah, I'm her friend." Thank God Yunhyeong seemed to approve the idea, earning an acknowledging nod from Min Hyun and Jin Young.

Inside, Chaeyoung finally could relax her pounding heart. She knew she can always count on Yunhyeong.

The launch started soon after the MC opened the gala. All of the guests paid their attention to the stage during the opening. Before the launch, there was a performance by a group of gisaeng presenting the traditional dance. Their performance was enchanting, and the crowd stood up from their seat to give them a round of applause.

After that, the MC took over again, "Ladies and gentlemen, the moment we have been waiting for, please welcome, The CEO of HG Corp and J-Tech Inc., President Hwang and President Jeon!"

And the rest of the moment was history for Chaeyoung. She couldn't believe it, that she and her co-workers could nailed the launch. She couldn't thank Manager Eun, Min Hyun, Jin Young and Yuju enough for doing this and went through all the hardships with her that they finally launch their first collaboration product.

"Congratulations, all of us." It was what Min Hyun said to all his beloved staffs when they gather around for a group hug.
