Chapter 4 - He's come for Christmas

Pamela: Abi, honey, you have a guest.....
Abigail: okay..

I wondered who it could have been. I didn't really know that many people here in San Antonio apart from Austin's friends and some of his family but i didn't think it would have been them. Mum stepped out of the way of the door and appeared a familiar face, a face i've not seen in months, it was Aidan!

Aidan: Hey stranger
Abigail: AIDAN!

I throw the laptop to my left onto the bed and ran into Aidan's arms he held open for me.  I pulled away from him and hit him in the arm

Abigail: What are you doing here?
Aidan: thought i'd come visit you before Christmas to give you, your present then go home on tomorrow night.
Abigail: awh you should have called me though Aidan
Aidan: i wanted to surprise you though Abbiers
Abigail: well you achieved that New Yorker
 
My mum was still standing by my bedroom door and Austin was awkwardly sitting on my bed.

Abigail: sorry, Aidan, this is my boy friend Austin....

I walked over to Austin and grabbed his hand and made him stand up. We went over to where i was before and he put his arm around my waist

Abigail: ....Austin, this is my best friend from back home, Aidan
Austin: nice to meet you man, heard a lot about you

Austin held out his other hand waiting for a hand shake from Aidan and he shakes his hand.

Aidan: You too, i've also heard a lot about you
Abigail: okay, that's enough of that.....
Pamela: i'll be down stairs if you want anything kids
Abigail: okay, thanks mum

Even with living with her for 5 months nearly, it still feels weird saying mum all the time. I've got to admit, i do miss when it was me, dad and mum. Those were the good days. But i know they'll never come back

Austin: Babe, i'm going to go home, i'll give you and Aidan time to catch up yeah?
Abigail: hun, you don't have to do that
Austin: it's okay, i'll see you tomorrow night at dinner

I kissed him and me and Aidan waved him goodbye at the door. We walked back into my room and talked about what was going on in each others life's. We spoke to each other for much of the afternoon, but at one point i had to take a call from work. I thought it was about when i had to come in tomorrow but one of the other waitresses said she'd come in, so i'm off work, like i should've been. So me and Aidan planned to spend the day together and i'd drop him off at the airport before my dinner with Austin. 

Aidan: Abi, i've not told you something
Abigail: what is it?

Just when he was about to tell me, my mum walked into my room and asked us if we wanted pizza for tea, Aidan went mental jumping up and down cause he loves pizza that much. We said yes and she left again.

Abigail: sorry, what were you going to tell me?
Aidan: it doesn't matter anymore
Abigail: awh, come on Aidan, tell me, you always get on at me when i don't tell you stuff
Aidan: awh fine, just cause your my bestie
Abigail: okay, so what is it?
Aidan: I'm...
Abigail: your?
Aidan: I'm g....
Abigail: Aidan, tell me, it's okay, i won't judge you
Aidan: I'm gay
Abigail: are you sure?
Aidan: yeah, and my mum's kicked me out
Abigail: what because you drive on the same side of the road?
Aidan: yeah if you want to say it that way
Abigail: is that really why your here? cause you have no where else to go?
Aidan: no, i'm staying with Gran in Dallas but i wanted to come here first
Abigail: Awh Aidan

I got up from the bed and pulled Aidan up and hugged him as tight as i could ever. I never really thought Aidan would be gay but i'm not going to judge him about it. He's still the same old Aidan i became friends with 13 years ago, the same old goofy, charmer guy i've known and loved.
