“But you said you weren’t doing anything today,” Ayame protested.
“Yes, but-”
“Please, Kimi? You haven’t been to the restaurant in forever, and my dad wants to see you and Ranmaru.”
Kimi sighed, giving in. “Fine, but only for a little bit.”
“I knew you couldn’t resist,” The woman said clapping her hands together. “Okay let’s go, it’s already passed lunch time.” Kimi nodded and picked up Ranmaru, following Ayame out of her apartment.
“What’s taking so long?” Naruto whined to the group of men gathered around a large table in Ichiraku’s. Besides Naruto, the group consisted of Sasuke, Shikamaru, Kiba, Sai, Lee, Shino and Chouji, and for once Neji seemed to come off his high horse and join them. Not since Naruto’s wedding had all of them been gathered together, and even before then it was a rare occurrence to see them all together.
“Naruto, it’s only been ten minutes since our orders were taken,” Sasuke stated to the man sitting to his right.
“But I’m starving!”
“You should have eaten earlier,” Chouji chimed in.
“Yeah, but I was saving room for my feast!” the blond defended.
“How wonderful is youth feasting together!” Lee exclaimed, pumping a fist into the air.
“I’d hardly call this a feast,” said Neji, crossing his arms.
“I still can’t believe the number one hyperactive knucklehead is married,” Kiba said changing the subject. Even when Naruto was engaged, Kiba had always commented on how unbelievable it was that he was the first of them to be getting married.
Sai smiled mockingly, “Have you and Hinata had sex yet?”
“A-ah, well-” Naruto was quickly silenced by a glare from his now cousin-in-law.
“With how small you are, did she even feel anything?” The pale man continued, “How long did you last, a minute?”
“Why you-!” Naruto’s face turned completely red, and he pouted turning away as he heard Kiba and Chouji snickering.
Neji turned to Sai with a sharp look. “Don’t include my cousin in your lewd comments!”
“What a drag,” Shikamaru, whom sat in front of Sasuke, sighed out as he rested his chin in the palm of his hand. “I should have known better than to think I could get some peace from my mom and Temari with these loudmouths.”
