"Mission report, currently 48 hours at sea, hedgehog's condition is... Uhh where is Sonic?"
"I believe he is hiding under the deck sir"
A second voice replies on the intercom.

Cowering under the deck, Sonic the brave hero, defeated by his extreme fear of water.

"You guys can't do this too me! This is TORTURE!" Sonic yelled.

"Woah! calm down Sonic, you were totally fine just a day ago."

"Uhhh yeah. And just a day ago there wasn't any fog outside completely blocking my path. I can't even see past my nose when I'm up on the deck."

"Relax Sonic, if we don't find that Eggman base by tomorrow, you get to come right back home."

Despite this comment, Sonic wasn't feeling any better.
"I don't see why you had to send the one guy who couldn't swim, on a boat mission."

"Because no one else would respond. What even happened to the rest of your team? Are they still even there?" Replied the navigator.

"They um... I don't want to talk about it."
This obviously touched a nerve for Sonic.

"Well anyways Sonic, don't worry about the fog, we have a navigation system on your boat to keep you on path and make sure nothing bad... Wait a second, what is that ??!!

A large explosion suddenly erupted on the under side of the boat.

"TORPEDO!!!" Screams one of the men on the radio.

Sonic, now in full alert, sped to the top of the boat to try and get cover. The impact proved to be too much for him as it sent him flying forward, hitting his head against the rail. This caused him to black out and fall of the side of the boat.

All that can be heard now was the mission reporters on the radio screaming Sonic's name in hope that he survived.

Day 3: On a mysterious island.
Sonic groggily wakes up to find he has one of worst headaches of his entire life.

"Ugh... What... Where... am I?"
The first thing he notices is that his head has been bandaged up, and he is laying on a coach in an open living room.

Sonic attempts to stand up but gives up half way as soon as his vision becomes blurry.

"What is this place? Am I in a tree house? And how did I survive that torpedo?"

The room itself had many open windows, and the tops of trees could be seen from outside.

The distant sound of a door being opened caused Sonic to jolt up to his feat and spin around in full alert.

"... S-Sonic... You're awake" said a familiar voice.

After his eyes adjusted, Sonic couldn't believe who he was looking at.
"Tails!?!? What are you doing here?"

Sonic was surprised to see his old best friend. It had been over a year since they had seen each other.

"I Thought You Were Dead!" Yelled Tails, running up to Sonic to embrace him. Before he reached Sonic though, he stopped himself after realizing that the hedgehog was probably still in pain.

(An explanation: After a catastrophic battle with Eggman, that would finally end his reign, the hero's all agreed to take a vacation away from each other, just to clear their minds. What happened though was that they all seemed settle down and start a new life while they were away. All except Sonic, who was left alone to work with the military.)

"I found your body washed up on the shore along with a tone of shipwreck. The locals helped me bring you up to my tree house. I was so surprised to find out you were alive."

Sonic had no idea how to react to this. Partly because his headache was still killing him.

"...Look Tails, I'm sorry I yelled at you. I am very grateful that someone found me, especially someone like you."

"Hey don't worry about it, you only partly scared me to death... Also what were you doing out in the middle of the ocean ALONE?"

"Oh um... It's a long story."
Sonic didn't want to worry Tails about the possibility of their being another Eggman base. He knew how much stress that last battle put on the team.

"Well anyways I was just about to go buy food from the village. I don't recommend you going since I know how bad sunlight can be for concussions."

"Nah I'll be fine. There is no way I could of had a concussion" Sonic said bravely.

"Oh yeah, then why is your left eye so dialated?"

"... Ok, Fine I'll stay here."
