Can it be possible for someone to hope for reincarnation? Can it be possible to meet my mother?

"Is my mother here?" I asked kindness.

She froze. I could feel her being turn rigid. Her rune began to glow bright red, blinding me. Confusion filled me, why is she trying to limit her powers of kindness?

"I-" she started.

I waited for her to answer my question but her rune began glowing gold as well. Now she's trying to use her powers? The golden and red colour swarmed around in her rune. I couldn't quite understand why both colours were visible. The light faded within an instant and she fell forwards. My reflexes came into play as I moved forwards, shooting out my arm to hold her. Kindness's head was on my shoulder as I shook her body, trying to wake her up.

"Kindness?" I called, "Kindness!"

I heard footsteps and someone yelled, "what did you do to her mortal?"

I turned to see Chastity baring her teeth at me, "N-nothng! I just asked her if my mother was here! Then her rune began glowing red and golden at the same time!"

Chastity's face contorted with confusion, "that's never happened before..."

She approached her fallen sister and grabbed her arm, carrying her, "go to sleep Maia."

"Let me help," I pleaded.

"No," I could feel that this conversation was over. I nodded and went off to my room. As I waked through the hallway, guilt began to grow in me. I did that to her. Will she be okay? What did that all mean? Tears stung my eyes as I passed Joshua's room. I knocked the door and I got no answer. Feeling disheartened, I moved back to my own room, laying down.

As usual, I began to dream.

I stood in a garden and I was on my own. Flowers surrounded me and the scent filled my nose.

"I've missed you," a woman spoke.

I turned around to see my mother, standing in a white dress. Tears filled my eyes as I ran to my mum. I embraced her, never wanting to leave her. I cried into her shoulder.

"Maia," she whispered.

"I-i m-missed you s-so much," I sobbed.

"Listen Maia, I know you won't believe me but you have to wake up. Go home right now. Take Joshua with you. I don't have time to explain, just please...Go home," she pleaded.

Something about her voice told me that I shouldn't argue. I nodded, wiping my tears.

"Is this real?" I asked.

"Do you think it's real?" She counterattacked.

I thought about it for a moment, "yes."

"I raised a great daughter," she smiled.

I jolted awake. I knew what I had to do. I got my stuff together. I could feel that the dream was real or the warning was real. I've had dreams in the past of my mother telling me things and they actually happening.

I grabbed my things and ran out, looking for Joshua. I found him sitting next to Kindness in the garden. She looked much better already, provided it's been a whole day.

"Josh!" I yelled.

He looked at me and marched over, "what's up?"

"We need to get out of here."

"W-what? Why?"

"I- Just trust me, please Josh, come with me."

He nodded uneasily and I walked over to Kindness, "I need the fastest way back to my place."

"Right, come with me," she didn't even question my sudden request. That was odd...

I followed her to the castle and Joshua joined us a few seconds later. Kindness rummaged around a room I've never seen before. Viles and jars of bright colours flowed everywhere. She murmured something every time she touched a vile. Finally she settled from a bright blue vile that looked like someone dumped a jar full of glitter in it.

"Drink this and you'll be transported to your houses," Kindness informed.

Uneasily, I accepted the vile from her, eyeing it. I pulled off the cover and drained the bottle. The liquid tasted too sweet that it burnt my throat, making me gag. Suddenly, I felt disorientated and my vision began to blacken.

I woke up to find myself on my bed. I looked around to see my usual empty house. For the past couple of weeks, I've been surrounded by so many people that it became a norm for me. To be left alone was irritating me. I got up, went to my dresser and saw a small package. Confused, I opened it up and saw a jar. It was a glass jar with gold detailing. Attached to it was a note that read:

Dear Maia,
I felt bad that you no longer have a jar to keep your memories in. I thought it would be nice of me to give you an alternative. I know it may not have the same value but that's the best I could do.

Wrath

I smiled at the letter, tears forming in my eyes. I held the letter close to my heart and sat down on my bed. So this was the end? This really was the end. I thought maybe this journey could have lasted longer. Now, I'm back to my old ways.

Time to go back to my old life. Time to say goodbye. This was truly the end of my journey.

The end.
