Y/n pov

It's your 11th birthday and You had just received your letter into Hogwarts, you have lived in England for years.

Your parents moved here to be closer to the ministry. Your father and mother worked for them, your mother had a much larger role in the ministry and had apparently caught the attention of the pureblood Malfoy family. We are scheduled to meet them when we go to Diagon alley for your school supply's. You hope they are nice, You heard You'd be meeting with their son, Draco Malfoy.

I can only imagine what my years at Hogwarts would bring. My sister who went to another school, it was different but you guessed that Mum and Dad wanted you to follow them at Hogwarts. Your Mum kept saying how excited and proud she was that I was going to Hogwarts.

I only wonder what house I'd be? But there's always time for that later.

"Y/n!?" You heard your mother call.

"Coming mother." You yell back. You were wearing a simple black dress with your hair in a sort of braided bun.

As you rush down the stairs you see your mother, father talking to someone but have no clue who.

"What's going on? Who is that?" You take a moment to notice how there are f/c decorations up everywhere and a "Happy birthday Y/n" banister.
"What is all this?" You ask slightly confused as you had only just opened you letter.

"Well we thought we'd get you a present something big." You father said with a hint of happiness, but not losing his serious demeaner.

You give a confused look and your parents step away to show your sister.

"Kathy!" You yell running into your sisters arms. She was already 17 years old.

"Y/n. Nice to see you again kiddo, it's been months." Kathy smiled as she hugs you again. You know this is the best gift ever.

"Thank you all!" You say hugging your sister. Your mother laughs.

"Well that's not all... I think it's time you met the Malfoy family. We'll be meeting them very shortly, and we can get all your stuff at Diagon alley, your owl, your wand, maybe some extra treats if you're good." Mother teased. You jumped up and wanted to burst with excitement, but you kept it in, trying to be respectable.

"Go get ready, put this on." Your father said holding some diamond like earrings, but they changed colours when you wanted them to so it never had to stay the same. For now, you kept them in their diamond like beauty. You looked up at your father as he handed you a matching necklace.

You giggled and thanked him.

"Go, on. Get ready now." You hear your mother say gently. You nod and rush up the stairs of your mansion to a mirror.

You loved it, today you'd get your ticket into the wizarding world for real.

After you rushed down stairs, you mother had taught you about floo powder so you had no trouble getting to Diagon alley with the stuff.

You jumped out of the chimney and stared at the place around you, new faces, big place, your sister just caught up to you, your parents not far behind.

"Y/n, I love that you're excited but slow it down." You nodded at your sisters words her mid length brown hair falling in her face as she talked to you.

"Well, what do we have here?" A tall man wearing a lot of black asked. He had long blonde hair and had a sort of walking stick, not that he needed it. Maybe it gave him a feeling of power, dominance perhaps. Is it his wand? He seems creepy though whoever he is.

Behind the man are two people, a woman with brown hair and blonde on he lower half of her hair. It was cool it look at. The women showed no emotion in particular. The next was a short boy probably around my age, blonde hair as well, slick and pulled back out of his face making him look very preppy. You looked at your mother, who gave the three a smile.

"Lucius, Narcissa." Your mother smiled. I was very confused, who are theses people?

"Y/n, this is the Malfoy's, we hope to become good family friends over the coming months." The women who must've been Narcissa smiled and what I presumed to be her son walked forward offering his hand. His fathers eyes bore into him, it was intimating.

"Malfoy, Draco Malfoy." You shook his hand and looked at him with a hint of wonder, he's no doubly rehearsed his name a million times with his family being well known.

"Y/n L/c." You simply reply, not attempting to cause the young boy any stress.

"Okay, well. Me, Kathryn and Narcissa will take the children while, you two catch up." Your mother directed you. Narcissa seemed somewhat relieved even if she didn't show it she was just a tad bit less tense.

Was Lucius the cause? Or was that just the stress of work and she was happy to be getting some tome alone with girls and her son? The thought made me wonder but I quickly forgot when I see the shop we where nearing: Ollivanders.

Draco notices my excitement and speaks up.

"What house are you hoping for?" Draco asks attempting to brake the ice.

"Honestly just a house that suits me, somewhere where I'll excel. What about you Draco?" He seems stunned before speaking.

"People normally call me Malfoy." He says unamused.

"Well, good for them, I'm gonna keep calling you Draco." You state. For someone like Draco I guess a family name is what people call them, but he's his own person, and therefore has his own name. No matter how loyal to the Malfoy name he is.

He seemed to smile at my comment.

"As for your question, Slytherin; like my father." He values his father a lot it seems.

We stop at the doors of the Ollivanders. Time to see what wand I get! I hope I have a good connection with it.
