I woke up in the cabin. I was still in the recliner and I was covered with a blanket. I don't remember actually grabbing it though. I got up and out of the chair when I felt a very dull pain all over my back. I slid my hand up slowly over my shoulder and traced the scratches. All the memories from last night came flooding back. My cheeks grew red.

"Oh, right. I really hope this never escapes this house and that all that will have no repercussions, but I really feel like that won't be the case." I said to myself grabbing my pants and putting them on. I looked over at the far wall and a small mirror hung there. I walked over to it, and began to look at all my scars. I traced a long one across my side with my fingers.

"I guess magical healing can't fix it all." I said before finally putting my shirt back on. My stomach growled and I looked at the kitchen. It was empty and so was the living room. I was alone in the cabin with only the crackling flames to keep me company.

I wandered outside in search of the Wraith. The snow glistened in the morning sun and, just like before, no footsteps could be seen in the snow. She wasn't on the porch. My feet began to feel nature's wrath, so I wandered inside and grabbed my shoes. I wandered into the woods while continuing my search. I walked for a little while and I began to hear something.

A far off voice. It was singing. It was ever so light that if I was to be thinking or if I wasn't trying to listen for any sign of life  i would have missed it. I wandered off the trail toward the sweet tune that flowed from the woods like honey.

I wandered into a little clearing and saw Yumiko sitting on a stump alone. She was singing to herself and brushing her hair. Her white hair laid on her naked back. I took a step closer and a stick cracked under my foot. She turned to look at me and smiled before turning back.

"Hi, sweetie. Just cleaning up." She said as she continued brushing her hair.

"Wasn't your hair black before?" I said looking at it.

"It was, but being around snow always fills me with so much energy and power. It fills me right back up and my hair turns back white." She said getting up from the stump. She wasn't clothed and she walked up and kissed my cheek.

"I have some great news actually." She said laying her head on my chest.

"Oh yeah? What news could that be?" I asked putting my arms around her.

"I know you're strong enough to look after me and you, but what about another?" She whispered.

"What do you mean?"

"We might be expecting a little Wraith of our own." She said with a smile. My heart kind of sank.

"So you're saying you might be pregnant?" I asked. She nodded.

"I'm not for sure, but I'm not a succubus. I can't just turn off whether I get pregnant or not, and unless you're willing to say you were wearing protection?" She said looking up me and smiling. I didn't say anything and stood there.

"Well, um..." I stuttered.

"Thought so." She said laughing as she ran back to the stump and sat down.

"How are you so calm about this? Aren't you nervous? Or scared?" I said becoming a little aggravated with her lack of concern.

"Oh, without question. But the moment you showed what you could do, and your "passion" I understood everything would be okay." She said. I walked over to her and hugged her.

"I'll try and make it that way if you are." I said. She hugged me back tightly and I felt her shiver a little.

"I know you will." She said joyfully as tears flowed from her eyes.
