There is nothing so special about 'Mondays' when you're dragged out of your blissful moment with your bed by the demonic sound of the alarm clock, first thing in the morning. Actually there is nothing good about mornings.

I tried to reach for my alarm clock in the bed side table, throwing somethings in the process. When, finally I got a hold of the diabolic gadget and shut it off, I tossed and turned to seek a comfortable position.

I will never know for how long I zoned out and then Aunt Lusenda started to yell from downstairs. My eyes budged open as I tried to jerk out of bed but fell on the floor wrapped by my blanket.

I struggled to set myself free from the blanket but that caused the filthy alarm clock to fall on my head, leading me to curse under my breathe. Even that thing knows how to take revenge,eh?

My bedroom door burst open, with a small, chubby woman standing in the doorway. She was wearing her night gown with her hair tied into a loose bun.

The angry look on her face turned into that of a shock or horrified one as her eyes popped with surprise. She rushed towards me uttering some unintelligible words and helping me up.

"Why are you like this? Oh Jesus! Every time I see you, you're either on the floor or causing something to fall on the floor. Now get ready. You don't want to be late for school." with that Aunt Lusenda got out of my room.

Yup, that was pretty much what my morning routine looked like. Well only on school days that is. I ran to my closet and took out whatever my hands first got a hold of, while causing other cloths to fall off.

I got into the washroom brushing my teeth and at the same time trying to get into the cloths, which were basically a simple black t-shirt with 'Piss Off' written on it and a pair of jeans. I didn't even try to fix the mess that my hair was and quickly ran down the stairs but fell on my butt at the last step.

I saw Aunt Lusenda shaking her head in discouragement. Jasper, my cousin brother who was a year younger than me, just gave an amused chuckle while his sister, Natalie just kept on eating her breakfast as if this was an everyday thing. Well I can not blame her on that. I kept tripping on these stairs quite a lot. Okay well maybe everyday. Let's just say I was not a morning person.

Natalie was the same age as me but don't be misled by that angelic blue eyes and blond haired beauty. She had taken an oath to make my life a living hell ever since I arrived in Los Angeles.

I remembered the first day of high school when she was actually nice enough to give me a ride, hoping I would stick with her squad.

But I had no idea all hell will break loose if I joined the dance club. She was in the music club. As I joined the club and made new friends that made Natalie mad.

Lemme just put it straight, her 'squad' and my 'group of friends' did not go in the same sentence together. We were sworn enemies. I had no idea what made the rivalry bloom. All I knew was that's how it worked.

On the other hand Jasper was an angel in disguise. He may have seemed to be a devil pulling the most atrocious pranks on me but he actually cared. He was good at hiding that. Guys and there ways with emotions can be pretty confusing, no? But what can I say, I guess I was able to see through that facade.

I slipped into my sneakers and rushed out of the house ignoring Aunt Lusenda's remarks about skipping breakfast. I hopped on my bicycle and sped of to school. At days like this I couldn't help but feel fortunate for school to be a few blocks away.

Upon reaching my destination I placed my bicycle beside the large tree, the usual spot, and rushed to get to my first class. I couldn't help but notice Natalie's car. She already reached school before me. Well maybe if we were on good terms then I wouldn't have skipped breakfast and could have gotten a ride in her car.

I shake my head and take out my phone as it buzzed. There was a message from my best friend, Kenzy,

"Where you at?"

I was about to text her back when I slipped and was going to be done for good if not for a pair of strong arms wrapping around my waist.

I almost heaved a euphoric sigh of relief but then my breathing stopped, when I noticed a pair of ocean blue eyes on me.

Who was he? A transfer student? I had never seen him before and yet he looked so familiar.

He had a highly defined jaw and a very handsome face. Everything about that face was symmetrical. His sleek brown hair was neither too small nor too big.

A fresh masculine fragrance filled the air.

My eyes found its way back to his alluring ones.

There was something about those eyes. It gave of a mysterious aura. And a sense of familiarity?

But the intensity in them made me want to hide in a corner.

And I don't know for how long I've been staring but then he cleared his throat causing me to get back to my senses.

"Long time no see," he spoke in a deep voice.

One side of his lips curved up to form a smirk.

What was he saying? I have never seen him before.

"What? Just let me go!" I said trying to free myself from his grip.

"You sure about that?"

"Of course I am!"

"As you wish," he shrugged and removed his hands from my waist causing me to fall on the ground with a thud.

What the hell?!

He turned around and started walking like nothing happened.

I registered from the shock and shouted, "Jerk!"

He stopped walking and turned around with a smirk.

"You asked for it."
