Elijah saw the house and was ok with it ONLY if he had his people watching the house. Which to me was fine as long as I don't see the wicked witch of the west. I already told him he was only allowed to see his daughter in my house and only on our property since his fiancé been staying at his house and doesn't plan on leaving anything soon.
"why doesn't daddy live with us?" she asked me as I was cooking dinner for us
"because daddy has his own house and I have my own," I said
"but we are supposed to live together like a family," she said hugging my legs
"we are a family, I and daddy aren't together," I said squatting to her level and noticed her crying.
"why are you crying?" I said wiping her tears away
"because I wanna be like my friends who live with their mommy's and daddy's," she said hugging me and crying into my neck
"I'm sorry that I and daddy aren't together," I said rubbing her back
"is it cause of that crazy lady?" she said pulling back
"no, I and daddy weren't together even before her, I'm sorry you feel like that," I said waiting for her to calm down
"it's ok, I just don't want her to be my new mommy," she said playing with my hair
"she will never be your new mommy, ok?" I said she nodded her head
"I love you," I said giving her a big fat kiss on the cheek
"I love you too mommy," she said giving me a hug and a kiss back before heading back into her room to play. I hear the doorbell ring just as dinner is finished.
"I'm coming" I yelled when I heard another knock
"Drake?" I couldn't help but look at him confused
"Hey, Elijah had to go on a business trip so he wanted me to stop by and see how everything is going," he said leaning against the door frame
"oh ok well we are good, we are about to have dinner do you want to join?" I asked
"I was waiting for you ask me that," he said as I walked into the house and let him close to the door
"I can smell it outside," he said rushing to the table and taking a seat
