Chapter 22: A Knight in His Heart

Pagpasok namin sa loob ay biglang tumahimik ang paligid. Hindi mo aakalain na may party pala sa loob kung nasa labas ka. Nagtinginan sa amin ang mga tao. No, let me rephrase that, tumingin sa akin ang mga tao. Some of them, tinitignan ako na parang malaking kasalanan na pumunta ako. Some of them look at me with disgust, while others look at me with pure interest and proud eyes.

"Jasper...."

"Don't bother them. We're here for Mom and Dad, right?"

"Yeah."

All of a sudden, may humigit ng kamay ko at nakilala ko naman siya bigla. Siya ang Mommy ni Jasper.

"I've been waiting for you! Bakit ang tagal niyo naman ata?"

"Sorry Mom, Dad. By the way this is Sheena..."

"Enough with the pleasantries, Jasper. I've known her. Right, Sheena baby?"

"Kailan pa?"

Hindi ko na sinagot si Jasper. At least si Tita Leila kilala ko. But not his Dad.

"Good evening po Tita Leila."

"Good evening darling. May I introduce to you my hubby, Mr. Michael Cruz. Darling this is Sheena, Jasper's girl friend."

"Nice to meet you hija."

"Nice to meet you din po."

"I'm very happy to finally see you. I really approve of your decisions. You're such a brave lady, Sheena."

I gaped at what he said. I just never thought that he would say that. All those time, I thought he liked Cass because her dad and Jasper's dad are friends. What happened?

"Okay, enough with this formalities. Lets have some fun."

Nagpaalam na sa amin sila Tita Leila at Tito Michael to entertain some of their guests. Tumigil na rin naman yung mga tao tignan kami nung nakita nila sila Tita at Tito. Iba talaga sila. Sa isang taas lang ng kilay ni Tita yung mga tumitingin sa akin ng masama ay bigla na lang napayuko.

Umupo lang kami sa isang place at pinakilala sa akin ni Jasper yung mga friends niya habang kumakain kami. Si Roby, Matthew, Jerick and ang kanyang best friend na si Elliot.

"So Sheena paano ka naman napapayag ng mokong na to?! Hahaaha!!!!"

"Oi oi! She's lucky for having me! I'm handsome, handsome, handsome, sweet, rich and the list goes on and on."

"So kailangan talaga madaming handsome, pre?"

"Really, Jasper..."

"Bakit? Totoo naman di ba Sheena?"

"What did you say Jasper? I didn't hear a thing."

"Hahahahaha!!!!! See, pre?"

"Babe!!!!"

"Hahaha... Yes yes yes you are. Happy?"

He kissed me on my forehead and grinned like a thirteen year old guy.

"Haaay! Ewan ko sayo pre! But Sheena take good care of that man. He's an a*hole but very extraordinary."

"A very HANDSOME a*hole, Elliot."

"Hahahaha!!!! Way to go man!"

Nagulat na lang kami ng bigla kaming nilapitan ni Tita Leila at parang hingal na hingal siya.

"Mom, what happened?"

"As much as I wanted to let you stay baby, but I think the b*tch troll is here."

Pagkasabi ni Tita nun, bigla naman nagtawanan yung mga kaibigan ni Jasper. Sino ba yung pinag-uusapan nila?

"I just talked to her Mom. She's very happy about the two of you. She understood everything that happened. I just wish na yung anak niya nagmana sa kanya."

Tama ba ang hinala ko...

"I think we need to go Mom. I'm sorry. Ayoko lang magcause ng stress sa inyo ni Daddy and kay Sheena."

"Of course, son. I'll just see you tomorrow. And you my darling Sheena, I'll see you soon. Okay?"

"Okay po. Thank you Tita!"

"Please tell Dad..."

"He knows already. Go ahead, now."

Dali dali naman ako hinawakan ni Jasper at lumabas kami ng bahay nila. Pero bago pa lang kami makasakay ng sasakyan dumating na ang b*tch troll na sinasabi ni Tita.

"Look who's here..."

"Cass..."

"What, Jasper? Are you ashamed of her? Bakit naman uuwi na kayo agad?"

"I'm not ashamed of her Cass. I just don't want to see or hear anything coming from your mouth. We need to go."

"Oh hush, Jasper. Soon babalik ka rin sa akin. Look at her now. She's very fat. Magsasawa ka rin sa kanya. Wala nga siyang ka-fashion fashion. Are you sure na editor siya ng isang mag? Ewww.... I never thought that they would let those people like her to be an editor. Such a disgrace."

"Enough Cass!"

"What? Tama ba ako Sheena?"

Bwisit na babae to! Uggggh!!! Pero totoo naman ang sinasabi niya. Alam ko magsasawa rin sa akin si Jasper. Hindi naman kasi ako kasing ganda ng mga models na dinadate niya. And hindi rin ako kasing yaman niya.

"Cass do you really want to hear this coming from me?!"

"What?!"

"Kahit ikaw na lang ang babaeng natitira dito sa mundo hindi na ako babalik sayo. And even Sheena's fat, she's way much better than you are. And I'm not ashamed that she's fat because she's carrying my child. Unlike you, you're nothing to me. It will never be you Cass. Never ever. Let's go babe."

Sumakay na kami ng sasakyan ni Jasper. Tinignan ko si Cass at kitamg kita sa mga mata niya ang galit at inis. Hindi ako nakapagsalita sa mga sinabi ni Jasper. Totoo ba yung sinabi niya? Paano kung lalo akong tumaba? Paano kung...

"Stop worrying, babe."

"Jasper... What if she's ri..."

"No. She will never be right babe."

"Paano nga...."

"There's never an if Sheena. Ikaw lang. Hindi naman ako maghihintay sayo ng ganito katagal kung di ako seryoso. I know nagmadali tayo, nauna si Little Chap bago ang lahat. But I want to share every moment with you kahit ano pa ang mangyari. I don't care if you're fat. Stop saying that you're ugly, not sexy and even unfashionable cause you're not. Stop thinking so little of you cause you're a very very special woman. I love you Sheena."
