Character Twenty Two: Wanted

After hours of training, William and Elle were both exhausted on the floor, panting.

"Jeez. All this training really is tough. How the hell did you survive this, Reiji?" William asked him while panting. He slowly stood up, wiping his right hand across his forehead to remove some sweat. His leg muscles were actually really impressive. William specialized in kicking so that was to be expected. 

"There is one technique you still have to learn, but... Your bodies cannot withstand the power just yet. So please, learn the basics of normal combat first. If you continue like this, you won't defeat the king before he passes away. Train hard, young ones!" The old man clarified with a loud voice, before slamming his bamboo stick onto the ground again. He had a serious face, meaning he really was serious about this. Elle, William, and Reiji stared at each other with serious faces, could they really do it? It was a tough goal, but they had no other choice. All of them walked towards the cafeteria. Each of them sat down around a table, staring down at it with serious eyes. Despite the lack of communication, they all knew what the deal was about. Finally, Elle managed to speak..

"U-uh.. We met Reiji a few weeks ago, and we already are infamous. What should we do? We're going to die at this point!" Elle's arms trembled. Of course, she was scared. Two of her dearest friends died, and she could feel a tear slide down her cheek slowly. It reached her jaw and fell down onto the table. Reiji noticed that and grit his teeth together, tensing up his arm muscles in frustration. Suddenly, a loud bang was heard. William smashed both his fists onto the table.

"If we dwell about the past we'll never go anywhere. We will get stronger, and we will avenge their deaths... We'll make this world better for everyone. Evolved or not. Are you all serious? Did you expect to fight every single day without any of us dying? They died for our sake, and let's make it up to them!" William growled as he was standing in front of the tale. Elle quickly nodded, wiping her tears away while Reiji kept his silence.  He had nothing to say, but he agreed. A woman with a tray walked over to their table with a gentle smile, placing three cups of coffee onto the table along with some pancakes.. and a newspaper. William snatched the newspaper and opened it. His eyes slowly opened wide, staring at the picture of their three faces.

"Guys.. We're uhm. Pretty wanted right now. They are willing to give millions of yen for our heads." That caught the others attention, and they soon stared at eachother again, this time with eyes filled with fear and confusion. How? That quick? That's what they thought. And of course, that would interest bounty hunters. 2 million yen each head. That is no joke at all. Suddenly, Reiji got up with a clenched right fist, stomping to his room..

While this happened, two of the top commanders were causing a ruckus.. 

Two black vans were driving away from a jewelry store at full speed while a loud sound of sirens was heard. Four criminals had stolen a huge amount of jewelry and money from the shop, attempting to escape. Too bad for them, Smiley and Eishen were outside at this hour. Eishen wanted some ice cream, but all this ruckus excited him. Suddenly, he saw a van drive towards him at full speed. The child tilted his head to the right in confusion.

"Popsicle mountain!" Eishen would scream like a child, before the ground under him froze... and a huge mountain of ice appeared in front of him, completely freezing every car in his way, along with the van. How could anyone create a 40-meter ice mountain out of nowhere? This was the reason the king had a liking to him. The power of his ice was amazing despite him being a child. Smiley slowly rubbed the back of his head, letting out a loud sigh.

"Kiddo... W-why the hell would you do that? Poor humans..." The creepy guy mumbled slowly while sulking towards the ice, rubbing on the ice while observing the frozen people inside. 

"That is no good.. Where is demon child? He's so cool... And his friend! Ugh... They all make me hungry.." Some saliva slid down from his lips, down his jaw and fell onto the floor. He was drooling at the thought of killing those two.. Creepy guy. Eishen chuckled at the drooling, pointing at Smiley's face.

"You're drooling! Like when Leo sleeps! Hahaha!" He laughed. Eishen was pretty childish after all. The kid jumped up and down in excitement before he saw Smiley form a ball of red poison in his hands. He threw the ball up over the ice mountain. Red smoke was emitting from the ball, and when it collided with the ice, the ice melted down. Even the car melted... How strong was that poison? Eishen pouted, but he didn't really care. The kid ran over towards the direction of the bus stop. The area they were in was completely empty. Everyone ran in fear from the strong commanders. 

Back at RL headquarters.

Elizabeth walked into the cafeteria with a big smile, winking at Reiji. She looked excited before bouncing forward, rubbing her hands together.

"Heyyy! I've got a surprise for all of you! We heard you all got money on your heads, so... We got suits for you all. This way you won't get caught in public, and it will also defend you! Please follow me~" She waved at them before walking back towards the exit, expecting them to follow.
