Something from their shared blood,
Someone she shares a home with,

He was just a person She saw five mins before school and five mins after
He was always in his room and she never knew why
Was it something She did

Was it something She didn't do
Was it something She didn't say
She never knew,
Cause he never speaks
Never to her
His younger sister, that sits and wonders with scars on her wrist wondering why he never protected her from the monsters that were 'under her bed'
But in reality they were in her head all along
He never was there to scare the boyfriends
He was never there to make her laugh with his idiocy after a breakup
He was never there to shield her from their parents rath
But there times
When he took her
And held her
When storms would rage outside
And there were no lights left on
Or
When her sister couldn't watch her
He would watch movies with her
Let her play in his phone
And just let her welcome his warmth and protection
And other times
When he'd pick her up and wrestle with her like most brothers do
Then she'd scream and cry for him to stop cause she never knew
But now she does
And all she wants is to go back to then and to never cry
And just to be happy and enjoy it
Cause she never knew that would be the last time she saw him
Cause I never knew that he would never talk to me again.
