Ah Charlie. A bubbly, kind, unpredictable ray of sunshine in a bleak, literal hell hole full of assholes. How could you not love her? Yeah, you loved her alright. You loved her. You'd supported her from the very beginning! You and Vaggie had been her cheerleaders ever since her first news broadcast, and now look at it all! The hotel was flourishing, demons were being reformed left and right, everything had gone as planned! Through it all, you two had been by her side. You liked Vaggie. She was kind of like a mom of sorts, always supporting you guys and scolding you when needed. But at the same time...God were you jealous. It seemed like her and Charlie were closer than anything. You hated it. You wanted to have that relationship with    Charlie. But you also hated that you hated it. You cared about both of them. But it seemed like those two just had a better relationship with each other than with you, and that hurt you. You'd never say anything, of course, but you desperately wanted Charlie all to yourself.                                                                                  "(Y/N)!" You jolted up in your seat, interrupted from your brooding thoughts, and looked up in the direction of the voice. Of course, you already knew who it was. You'd know that voice anywhere. "Hey Charlie" you said, chuckling at her as she bounced up and down on her heels. "I wanna show you something really cool!" Before you could object, she took your hand in yours and started leading you to God knows where. You couldn't help but playfully roll your eyes at her childish personality. Even more so, you focused on her hand, which was tightly gripping yours. You could feel your face heat up, and you tried to steady your breaths in order to stop the blush from creeping across your cheeks. To your disappointment, she eventually let go once the two of you reached the foot of the stairs. She started to snicker, her grin wide and mischievous, spreading across her porcelain face. "What is it"? She slowly moved closer and closer. So close, that you could feel her breath hot against your face. He smile never faltered, and her gaze never shifted from your eyes. Suddenly, she poked your shouder, shouted ,"TAG! YOU'RE IT!", and jolted up the stairs. "Hey!" You cried, sprinting up the stairs after her. You may have been fast, but she was faster, practically a blur as she darted trough hallways and up staircases, laughing all the while. Although out of breath and exhausted, you couldn't help but laugh too as you chased her blurry figure. Finally, you were almost at the roof. You had her cornered at last! Climbing up the stairs, you smiled goofily at the thought of her defeat. But when you reached the top, you found there to be no sign of Charlie. Just the wind blowing steadily under the large pentagram that stretched endlessly across the blood red sky. "(Y/N)". You turned around excitedly only to find, to your absolute confusion, that her entire demeanor had changed in just a matter of seconds. What had once been childish mischief had turned to uneasiness and embarrassment. She stared intensely at the ground and shuffled her feet in silence for a moment tor two. "Listen, (Y/N). I, uhm, don't really know how to say this without being weird. I mean, you've been one of my closest friends for the past couple of years now, and hell I understand if you don't, uh, agree with this, but Vaggie said that I should tell you." Your heart sank. You knew what was coming. She and Vaggie had gotten into a relationship, and she had come to tell you that she didn't need you anymore. You knew this would happen. God what a fool you had been. You knew this would happen, but you let yourself fall in love anyway. God you're so STU- "I like you (Y/N). I have for a really long time. I'm sorry." You stood in shock. Had she...had she just said what you think she said? You continued to stand there, so long in fact, that Charlie sighed and began to walk away. You jolted out of your state of shock, and grasped both of her hands in yours. "Charlie, I like you too. For so long. But I had thought-" "You thought I liked Vaggie, didn't you?" You nodded slowly. "Yeah, most people do. But...this whole time, I've had... someone else in mind." She placed her hand on your chest, her eyes locked dreamily with yours. Her blush contrasted so darkly with her pale complexion. It was beautiful. She was beautiful. You gently wrapped your arms around her waist, and pulled her closer. Closer, and closer. Once more, you could feel her hot breath on your face. But this time, you knew exactly what you needed to do. You closed the little space you had left, and pressed her soft lips to yours. The kiss was long and sweet, bringing a warmth to your heart that you had never felt before. However, you eventually had to part. But you couldn't bring yourself to let her go. And neither could she. So she placed her head on your shoulder, and your arms held her tighter. There the two of you stood, content. And there you would stay, until dawn graced the sky.
