Chapter 17

I woke up to Jaiden's fingers trail up and down my arm.

"You up baby?" Jaiden asked when I shivered from his touch.

"Yeah I'm up," I murmur and press a kiss to his chest.

"Did I keep you up too late?" He teased, making me roll my eyes.

"Hush before I hit you with a pillow," I threaten and roll over on my stomach.

"Not today, you need to get ready. Me and you are going on a date," He demanded, making me let out a groan and force my self to stand up.

"Today? Can't this wait?" I complain and shuffle to the closet. My only reply is warm breath on my neck and his armed wrapped around my waist, sending shivers racing through my body. I decided that it could definitely wait, and turned around to face him, pulling him down for another kiss. He pulls away from me, making me pout and look up at him with sleepy eyes.

"Not today baby. You aren't going to seduce me back into bed. Me and you are going to go on a proper date." I sighed dramatically, trying to hid my excitement very unsuccessfully. He gives me a quick peck on the cheek, silently letting me know that he can feel my excitement through the mate bond. That's something else I figured out last night, after we mated, I can now fill him in my mind. We are perfectly tuned to each others feelings.

I debate on wearing a dress or not, and decide on a striped baby doll dress. "Where are we going?" I question, already knowing that he won't tell me. I make my way to the bathroom, waiting for his answer. He follows me into the bathroom and watches as I get ready.

"It's a surprise baby." He explained and gives me a smirk. "I should give you some fair warning though.... With us mating last night you may be unable to keep your hands off of me, I am kind of irresistible." I roll my eyes at his comment and give him a glare through the mirror.

"You are absolutely hilarious babe," He gets ready to interrupt me but I hold my hand to silence him, "You know what will be even funnier? When you have to sleep on the couch tonight."

I feel Jai's strong arms possessively wrap around me and pull me close. He combed through my hair with his fingers, obviously trying to keep from being pissed off. "Sorry babe, I shouldn't have said that." He mumbles sheepishly.

"I guess I can forgive you," I give him a wink before shoving him out of the bathroom so that I can finish getting ready.

It only takes me about thirty minutes before I was ready, so me and Jaiden are out of the house quickly. He opens up my car door for like a true gentleman, making me blush slightly.

"You look beautiful," Jaiden whispers and kisses my hand as we drive to our next stop.

"As do you," And he did, he was wearing a nice button up shirt and some dark jeans. His hair was styled and the smell of his cologne was filling the car. The rest of our car ride is filled with small talk before he pulls up to a small coffee shop. I give him a questioningly look before he gives me a small smile.

"You told me that I owed you a lot of coffee, so I figure I would make good on that request." He explains, making me let out a loud awe.

"Thank you baby," I murmur my appreciation and kiss him softly before we made our way into the store. We quickly order and then take a seat before he continues.

"This is only stop one, so don't get too comfortable." He gives me a big grin at my suspicious look. "It will be fun, I promise." His word was all I needed to believe him.

After we finished up at the coffee shop we had another half hour car ride filled with laughter. I discovered that me and Jaiden shared the same singing skill, or lack thereof. The laughter continued until we reached a park that was filled with ice cream trucks and little kids running around. When I took a closer look, I saw that it wasn't just a park, it was a festival.

"Welcome to the spring festival or our town," Jaiden gives me a wide smile, knowing that I am already vibrating in excitement. I barely even wait for him to turn off the car before I step out. When Jaiden and I approach the ticket booth, the man immediately recognizes us.

"Welcome Alpha and Luna, it is a privilege for you to be here." The man shakes both of our hands frantically and ushers us through the gates. When we step inside the festival I take a look at all of the booths and my excitement level rises sky high.

"Jaiden," I gasped and pointed at the cotton candy booth. He chuckles loudly and pulls me towards the booth, buying us both cotton candy.

By the end of the second hour, Jaiden is carrying me on his back and we are watching kids bob for apples. I don't think that I have ever been this relaxed and care free. I press a kiss to Jaiden's neck, causing him to take a deep breath.

"Are you feeling a little bit winded baby," I tease as I press another kiss his neck.

"Just a little, it must be-," He doesn't even finish when he feels me kiss the sensitive part of his neck. "You fight dirty," He groans, making me giggle.

"So I'm funny now," He demands, mockingly angry. He twirls around with me still on his back, making me giggle more. He looks up at me, a soft smile playing on his lips. "You are absolutely beautiful." He whispers and a soft smile forms on my face. I jump off his back and he looks at me questioningly.

"Catch me if you can," I tease and as his eyes fill with mischief, I take off through the park. Some people are watching with laughter in their eyes as Jaiden chases me. I can't stop laughing and he eventually catches me, tackling me to the ground. We roll around for a couple of minutes before he finally has me pinned me down on the grass.

"You put up a fight, I'll give you that. But, I always win." Jaiden quickly starts tickling me, making me thrash in his arms. I can't stop laughing and neither can he.

"Stop! No more!" I beg, laughing with tears streaming down my face. He moves his hands from my sides to my legs as we both sit up.

"I think I'm a little in love with you," He confesses quietly, looking down at me silently. I give him a shy smile and a quick kiss on the lips.

"I think I'm a little in love with you too," I confess just as quietly. He immediately pulls me in for a quick kiss. I definitely think I'm a little in love with him too.
