Chapter 5- A Disaster Pan and a Purple Gay

Start from the beginning

"how did she know?" I asked with wide eyes, my tail was stiff and as straight as a frat boy, the fur at the end of it spiked up an curling.

"Monsieur, you forget that Madame Hagakure is her girlfriend~" Aoyama giggled once more, it almost felt like he was mocking me. Damn Frenchman...

"of course... I should have never trusted her..." I sigh and smack the palm of my hand to my forehead, a loud 'slap!' heard clearly even through the moderately busy hallway. My tail now relaxed a bit more, hanging close to the floor and wagging slowly from nerves.

Aoyama patted my shoulder gently and rested it on top, gripping his well-manicured fingers on it almost gingerly. I looked up to him, my shoulders hanging as low as my tail once I saw the look in his eye. Anyone who didn't know Aoyama would've just thought he had a happy sparkle in his eye, but no, that was a sparkle of malintent and sadism.

I felt the color drain from all over my body and center in my chest in fear as he spoke quietly so only I could hear.

"Did you really think you could keep this secret forever?~ I am the master of match-making, mon ami~. I see everything." He said with his regular smile. All of his words were in their normal exaggerated tone, except the last sentence...I was honestly terrified of what he thought he could do to "make this match".

"I-It's really just a small crush! Nothing to go crazy over! I don't need help!" I wave my hands vigorously in front of me with a trembling and nervous smile on my face. Aoyama only raised a well groomed eyebrow at me, the twinkle in his eye becoming brighter at my embrassament. I felt his grip on my shoulder tighten as well. That can't be good.

"Well, well, well, speak of the devil~ I must go now, mon cher~. Au Revoir!~~" he said quickly before shoving me forcefully into another person and speeding off as fast as his laser would take him. I grunt and grip my ukulele case protectively, making no effort to push off of the person I was just pushed into until I registered what had just happened.

"That evil croissant man..." I mumble as I try to back away from the person only to find my tail was instinctively wrapped around the former person, tightly. I quickly straighten out my tail and jump backwards, bowing immediately to the other person to apologize, never getting even a glimpse of their face.

"I'm sorry, my friend must have pushed me into you accidentally! Please forgive the both of us..." I say quickly.

"Uhm...it's alright..? No need to apologize..." I freeze at the familiar and deeply tired voice. I think back to what Aoyama said before blasting off.

"Speak of the devil~"

I shoot my head up instantly and look at the beautiful insomniac before me. The heat of my body once again escapes me to center all around my heart, squeezing it as well as filling my lungs with stone. I feel my face and ears grow hot as I look at Shinsou with wide eyes. It seems he's also blushing, looking slightly past me to avoid eye contact and scratching the back of his neck nervously.

"Oh..uh, hello Shinsou..." I say looking to the side shyly. When we look back, our eyes meet and we're instantly glued in eachother's gazes. Dear god I just want to kiss him already.

"Hey..Ojirou.." he greets weakly and clears his throat, rubbing and scratching the back of his neck a bit faster with stiff and limited movement. "Uhm...nice performance in lunch today...I didn't know you were really good at ukulele." He says slowly.

I feel jolts of electricity shoot throughout my veins at his compliment. I could feel my legs shaking subtly beneath me. "Ah! Thank you so much! And um...it was nice seeing you sing along to the songs...you looked like you were having a nice time..." I smile genuinely at him, my tail was beginning to wag. Oh please not now...

Shinsou noticed the obvious movement behind me and chuckled. Music to my ears.

"Well, I'm glad I was able to be of some service..." he smiled tiredly at me. We both relaxed at the decreasing amount of tension in our atmosphere, I even took a step closer to him.

"So, I-"
"I'm sorry." He blurts out.

I instantly see his face turn a light pink as he realizes what he said. "Sorry? For what??" I look at him, cocking my head slightly to the side. My tail had stopped it's wagging now and was wrapped around my leg.

"The Sports Festival... I never apologized for it...and I'm really sorry..." he spoke progressively quieter until he was talking in almost incomprehensible mumbles. It was clear that we wasn't used to this, so the fact that he felt strongly enough to apologize to Ojirou about it made him feel... special.

"Hey, it's fine! You were only using your quirk to help you win in the tournament. Although I would have said yes if you asked anyways... I appreciate you apologizing though!" I flashed him a bright smile and his face flushed even more if that was even possible.

"Well..cool...I was scared you wouldn't accept it..I wouldn't have blamed you though." He smiled up at me, his normally dull and purple eyes looking down and shining a bright violet at me. "I'm..glad we could get past this." We both nod.

"...well I should head to cla-"

"CanIhaveyournumber?"

"..what??"

I take a deep breath and repeat myself. "Can I have your number? So we can like...talk and..stuff."

This seemed to catch Shinsou's attention as his head snapped up to look at me and then he frantically started looking in his pockets for some paper and a writing utensil.

"Uh- Yeah- just let- me-" he pat himself down awkwardly. I smile softly and hand him a sheet of my own paper and my owl pencil. He bows stiffly before writing down his number and handing it to me.

"So yeah..call me." He gives me a thumbs up and I smile in return as he walks away quickly.
I almost collapse on the spot, letting out a long breath that I had no idea I was holding. I look excitedly at the note in my hand and immediately fall in love with him all over again....wait my ukulele I forgot I need to put it back before class starts-

I begin sprinting down the hallway, failing to notice a certain set of purple eyes looking at me.
