"Are you completely certain about this decision?" Dr. Frederick Hershel was a serious man. I had never seen him wearing anything but suits, all dark colors and monotone combinations. Never once I saw a genuine smile forming on his lips. His gray hair was always immaculately placed back, and his mouth was always formed in a condescending scowl. Throughout the whole meeting, his inquisitive eyes never left mine.
Interacting with him was a refreshing experience. Seeing his grimaces and ways of expressing made me understand where Ethan Vennberg had gotten his intimidating façade from. To be professionally shaped by Doctor Hershel must've been even more of a hell than with the person previously mentioned.
"Yes, I am completely sure of my decision."
Liar.
I wasn't completely sure about my going away, but that was what life was all about. Jumping into open air and hoping to get the best grasp you could while you're at it.
"Are you aware that you will not be allowed to come back once you've left?" His facial expression was completely foreign to me. I couldn't read a single feeling he possessed, his gray, intense eyes bored into my skull.
"I am fully aware of all the consequences that leaving Cooley's University implies, yes." I tried to mirror his strict and cold act as much as I could but found it an incredibly difficult task.
