It's me again but this time writing with good news. I got to finish coding the game, I still don't know the name I should give it but that's not the good part, someone wants to sponsor and help push the game forward. I got an email and I couldn't be more excited.

I don't want to be into the boring details, but I wish you were here to play it, I would have loved to hear your feedback and probably get possible names for the game. I miss you and I wish your dreams are coming true just as mine are.

PRESENT.

HAYDEN'S POINT OF VIEW

"Carla, call the security downstairs." I rushed back into the sitting room, with my coat which I hurriedly took out of my room.

"Sir, I think you should sit...." She doesn't believe that anyone was actually in the house, she thinks I am seeing things.

I am not, I embraced her, I heard her soft laugh, she was here and this time I am going to find her. She shouldn't have gone far.

I hope.

"Do as you are told," I yelled. Carla was taken aback by my loud tone, I never shout at her.

I would feel remorseful but the thought of not setting my eyes of Lainey again clouded my entire being that, no one else mattered.

"Y-yes, sir." She is still staring at me dumbfounded walking away fast as if she stays a second with me move, I might yell again. Just then I heard a subtle noise coming from the door, making me turn around.

I set sight was on those set of blue eyes, that I could never get tired of. A wave of relief rushed down my spine with the realization that she didn't leave.

She shuts the door behind her slowly realizing that she has been seen, awkwardly playing with the hem of the hoodie I gifted her. Her face pale, her nose red, her brown hair loosely falling on her shoulders, a little bit untidy, she probably just ran get hands through.

"Jesus, Lainey." I walked over to the door, pulling her for another hug, a lot tighter than last night.

My nose picked up a scent of cigarettes and something that I couldn't put my finger on, invading my scent which is supposed to be on the hoodie.

She smokes?

She hates smokers, I remember how we both would cough out loudly when we around people who smokes, I initiated it.

"Whoa, is everything okay?" She taps my back once which was an obvious indication that I should remove my arms around her and let her breathe.

"Where were you?" My voice louder than intended, her ready to snap back at me expression on her face made me wish I expressed my concern in a much lower voice.

"Jeez, I didn't know I was a prisoner " She snapped back as expected.

"N-no you are not..." I paused having a good look at her. I could see dark circles under her eyes like she didn't sleep at all, her eyes red which was an obvious indication that she has been crying.

I wish she could just talk to me, we used to tell each other everything maybe she just needs time.

"I was worried when I saw your room empty." The fact that she has her backpack with her worries me, maybe she wanted to leave then changed her mind.

"I am fine, I went for a jog." She sharply said but I know her all to well to know she's lying, plus the awful stench of cigarettes gives her out.

Our eyes locked, yes she still as that glassy blue eyes that will turn heads every day but the life in it is no more, they look sad. I wish I could help take away her sadness, ease the pain but there's nothing much I can do until she lets me in.
