“I-” Jimin started, but he couldn't get himself to finish. He was staring at Jungkook, his mouth ajar at the middle of his sentence, and he saw that there was still pain in the younger's eyes. Jimin didn't like to feel helpless, but he was drowning in helplessness at the moment, and he was afraid of having to feel totally invalid again when Jungkook would also think he was insane.

“You what?”

“I-” Jimin didn't know what was so particularly hard about taking about it, but he found himself getting stuck again. He didn't know what to say first, if it was wise to even say something at all. “There's another world Jungkook.”

Jungkook just blinked at this, another world? If anything, he thought he meant other lands, countries, continents, civilizations, planets. It was so vague one could understand anything he wanted to understand. But Jungkook knew it wouldn't be so hard for Jimin to speak about it if he meant something ordinary.

Jimin could see the questionning hint in Jungkook's eyes, and he breathed deeply. Maybe he was going to make a fool out of himself again, but he was mostly afraid if Jungkook to refuse to leave after findimg his reasoning blatantly stupid, just like Taehyung did.

“You're gonna think I'm insane. I'm not ready for this.” Jimin muttered, and Jungkook frowned at it. He was ready to believe Jimjn no matter what he said, maybe it was plain dumb of him, but he didn't think he will be really able to help it.

“You know I won't, Jimin. Another world, how is it like? How do you know it's out there? Why is it stressing you out? I’m all ears.” Jungkook asked and he looked genuine, and Jimin could see it very clearly. He was truly concerned, didn't dismiss him without even trying to understand. Jimin released a breath he didn't know he was holding.

“It's just like here Jungkook, it's so similar. There's other people there, who look exactly like us, everything is almost the same. But it affects us whatever they do, and it's making me crazy trying to stop the impending doom by myself. I was there, I go there whenver I sleep. I'm not delusional because I see the consequences here. Hoseok died there and he died here too, I was hoping it doesn't happen but it did anyways.”

Jimin could see the amount of shock in Jungkook's face, his eyes were wide and he didn't seem to be blinking anymore. Before his face contorted to one of pain, Jimin didn't know what exactly was making Jungkook like this. He said so many things at once.

“You knew Hoseok would die? When?” Jungkook asked, and in the good side, he believed him, but he seemed to be mad about the fact Jimin didn't somehow stop it. “Why didn't you do anything?”

“Jungkook, it can't be helped. If it happened there it happens here, if something happened first, it will repeat. You cannot ever stop it!” Jimin explained, and Jungkook looked almost hurt at this. And he seemed thoughtful, as if still trying to understand, to find a way to stop the unstoppable.

“By the way, it's you who killed him in the other world. I thought it would repeat in the way of, Taehyung killing you. I was so scared. But Hoseok died instead, and naturally. He was fated to die, but I wasn't aware until it was too late.”

“What do you mean I killed him?” Jungkook blurted out, offended. Jimin pursed his lips at this, for how will he explain. He wasn't sure of the karma thing anymore, it was changing inconsistently. It wasn't really karma for it was never fair, it was dumb, just reverses thing in a way Jimin didn't really gasp still.

“You are a good guy Ggukie, but the other Jungkook is not. He's bad, evil, and he's not you. But we are affected with what he does, he killed Hoseok, so he died here. And when you fell for me, he became obsessed with me too, insanely obsessed. I'm now locked in his royal chambers-”

“Royal?” Jimin was at this point, even surprised that Jungkook was following with him. But he was grateful, it felt good, not to be taken for a fool for once.

“Yes, you're the king there. While me and Taehyung are servants. I have no power in the other world, it's only here I can make a change. Taehyung get affected with what King Jungkook does, he hates you because of him, and if Jungkook doesn't kill Taehyung first, then Taehyung here will kill you ggukie, it will happen. It cannot be changed at all.” Jimin looked like he'd cry at this. And Jungkook could see that he couldn't hold the burden in his shoulders anymore, could see how much he wanted to save him, how much he needed him to live, and it broke his heart.

Jimin blinked away the tears, it wasn't the time for it. He looked at the ground, in an eerie sadness, and Jungkook wanted to shake it off. He hated to see him like this, he could almost taste the helplessness in his lips. “So that's why I want you to seperate from him, so the same thing rehappen, you both survive, and both kingdoms don't lose their kings and get ruined by greedy wars of the enemy.”

Jungkook was blankly staring at this point, and Jimin was aware it was so much to take in. Jungkook's eyes softened, and Jimin seemed to feel sympathy radiating off of him. Jungkook caressed his hair, tenderly, before holding his face in his hands.

“So that's why you were tired, you couldn't even sleep. You kept waking up to that mess everyday, my poor sweetheart.” Jungkook's voice was so tender Jimin didn't seem able to resist kissing him on the lips. It was dumb, he should be loving Taehyung instead, but he did it anyways. Jimin let himself being hugged by Jungkook, taken care of for once. He was so tired of being strong.

They laid in bed, just cuddling next to each other. With Jungkook's fingers still in Jimin's silky locks of hair, in a soothing way, loving. It was only comfortable silence for a while, both of them staring at the ceiling wordlessly.

“I'm sure there must be another way.” Jungkook muttered, and Jimin just hummed at this. It felt good to know someone was thinking with him, it got the best of him, and he was so very tired. But he was trying his best to stay awake. He didn't want to wake up in the other world,  he wanted to be next to this Jungkook only. The other one disgusted him. He hated his goddamn guts.

“I won't leave for now, I'll try to help you with this. I'll think about what you told me deeply, I'm sure there must be a way.” Jimin held him tighter at this, and Jungkook laid his head on the crook of his neck. It was just so affectionate, and Jimin didn't want to let go. Maybe he was only lying to himself all along, maybe he did really love Jungkook, and not just as friends.

“And I promise you,” Jungkook lifted his head to look at Jimin's sleepy eyes, and he smiled wryly, and Jimin could sense bitterness crowling to lay on his tongue. “If me leaving was the only solution, then I will leave, with no hesitation. So rest assured, and worry less. I'm here to help you now.”

Jimin never remembered feeling more safe in his entire life.
