something like poetry
from a restless mind

society teaches us
that we are two halves
of a whole and that
   without the other
we are incomplete,
never realising that
by choosing to walk
alone

we grow stronger.
—no leader has ever
followed the crowd

we are individuals
with our own minds,
hearts, and dreams
   and we don't need
someone else to prove
that we can become
whatever we want
to be

we are independent.
—happily ever after means
more than just a person

we grow and break
in the dark, out of sight
from those who think
    we are not enough
because we stand and
fight for something
only we can truly
see

we are visionaries.
—and the world will
change because of us

you are different
     for a special reason;
don't ever give up
