Taehyung didn't hear from Jimin again until Monday, but it wasn't at all in the way he expected to. One of the household servants approached him that afternoon, claiming that they had caught sight of a taxi that drove by; whoever had been riding in it had reached out the window and dropped an envelope, as though they hoped it would be found. Out of curiosity, they had went to investigate it, only to find that it was addressed to Kim Taehyung. The redhead took the envelope with a level of suspicion, but upon opening it, his heart was beating rapidly.

"Tae,

I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me for my silence. Something has happened--I can't quite say what right now, but I can't call or text you. I can tell you that I'm safe, so please don't worry about that. I need to be able to speak with you in person, though my next few days are going to be busy. Maybe you've heard from your brother, but there is a Halloween costume party happening at the Studio on Wednesday night. Please come and find me there, but don't try to visit the Studio until then.

Love you always,

~Jimin"

Even though the letter insisted for him not to, Taehyung couldn't help worried for Jimin's safety immediately. Still, he restrained himself and resisted the urge to bolt to Jimin's apartment or to the Studio. There must have been a good reason why he was requesting him not to, and so be obeyed. Yet the thought of him having been abducted again crossed his mind, and so did the thought of this letter being bait to lure him into danger, sent by the Studio Ghost. Either way, he knew he was going to the party to try to find him. He had to, not only to see him, but to save him or win him back if it was necessary.

The costume he picked for the party was one that resembled a formal white military uniform, embellished with gold buttons, epaulets, and tassels. It gave a hint of a prince charming vibe, and perhaps that was why he ultimately picked it. Though it was dashing and made him look like something out of a fairy tale, he felt a little uneasy in it as he stepped into the Studio. It was packed full of people, and while it included staff members, it was mostly young women. The whole thing had been advertised as a chance to meet Jungkook, and, as far as Taehyung understood, tickets had been raffled for people who had bought tickets to his concerts in the past several months. That being said, most of the women's costumes were risque, to say the least. They were probably all competing among themselves for Jungkook's attention--at least, that's how Taehyung tried to rationalize it.

If nothing else, the sea of women made it easy for the men present to stand out. It didn't take long for his eyes to scan across the tall, wide stairway in the grand entry hall. Up on the second floor, sitting on the railway just beside the staircase, sat a boy with a petite frame--unmistakably Jimin. He was dressed in tall platformed boots and tight leather pants, with a black and silver embellished suit coat and an almost sheer white silk blouse beneath it with a slit so deep in the front that his upper chest was exposed; on his head was a black and silver hat, reminiscent of a pirate's, decorated with a curled ostrich feather. Taehyung flushed a little at the sight of him, his eyes going wide. He'd never seen him look so remarkably provocative, and the way his pale hair was ruffled up, his dangling earrings, and the dark makeup that seemed to be around his eyes wasn't helping.

As he openly gaped up at him, the blond's eyes coincidentally turned and met his. Jimin straightened up immediately, his eyes widening, too, at the sight of Taehyung. He wasted no time hopping down from the railing and fighting through the crowd to move toward him. Unfortunately a few girls seemed to recognize him from the night of his triumph and tried to stop him, but he politely greeted them and excused himself until at last he was standing before Taehyung, panting softly. They looked each other over, eyes wide; for a moment, neither could seem to find words.
