When Seokjin passed by Taehyung's room later that day and still heard him crying and sniffling, he felt as though he had to do something--it was just a matter of what. He wasn't sure if he found Taehyung's depression to be sad or frustrating. Thus, perhaps his reason for wanting to intervene was selfish, but he couldn't stop himself. When at last he devised a plan, he knocked on the door again. Taehyung was reluctant and pried about what Seokjin had in mind; the elder brother was beyond bullheaded about revealing any of his ideas, but was endlessly kind and insistent that he could ease his depression. And so, Taehyung felt that he had no choice but to let him try.
He was still in a fowl mood as they sat in the back of the taxi, but tried not not let it show. Seokjin, sensing Taehyung's irritation, assured him that things would get better until they had driven to an area that Taehyung didn't recognize at all. The taxi pulled up to a building with neon lights all around it, and upon walking up to the door, Seokjin pulled out a stack of cash and handed it to the man who guarded it. Taehyung's eyes widened as they stepped into the darkness.
"What is this place?" he asked, baffled, before Seokjin grinned wider.
"A night club," he replied coolly.
Yet even then, Taehyung didn't truly understand until they walked into a space with subdued yet brightly colored lighting. There were men everywhere who seemed to be drunk, or at least tipsy. They were crowded around a stage with poles where half dressed women danced. Taehyung's face flushed immediately as it fully hit him, yet before he could do anything, Seokjin had flagged a women over to whisper that his heartbroken brother needed someone young and blond. In no time at all, a woman with that description appeared to them, looking to them with a bright but alluring smile. Seokjin explained to her, too, that Taehyung needed some cheering up and, as he subtly passed her a stack of cash, politely asked her to show him a good time.
Taehyung was too shocked to argue, and stared back at Seokjin with an expression of panic as he was dragged away by the blond woman. She sat at a table in a corner with him, trying to get him to talk. He wasn't trying to be rude; he simply had no idea what to say or expect. She was very sympathetic, and looked to him with batting eyelashes, but soon offered to help him get his mind in a different place. It only took a few moments for Taehyung's brain to cease functioning as she pulled herself up onto his lap, arching her back to accentuate her features and wrapping her arms around his neck.
Though he felt his face grow hot, he'd never quite been interested in women. For a long time, he assumed this was because of his investments in his studies. He didn't have time to dabble in romance or even in the supposed eye-candy of women when he was taking college level classes as a teenager. It wasn't until he met Jimin that he felt any burning of desire or interest in having a love life, and it was then that he knew his schooling had nothing to do with it.
Taehyung quickly regained his consciousness, stopping the blond woman and carefully moving himself out from under her. He thanked her for her attempt, claiming that he just wasn't in the right mindset for it--he was too kind out outright admit the truth. After insisting that she keep every penny of the money given to her, he went to find Seokjin. Somehow, Taehyung wasn't surprised to find his brother surrounded by not one, but three women. They sat in a circle, chatting. If nothing else, at least he seemed to be a gentleman even in this kind of scenario. Yet when Taehyung announced that he wanted to go home, Seokjin calmly stated that the night had only just begun.
The younger brother shook his head, declaring that he would go home by himself. As he sat alone in the taxi on the ride back, he folded his hands in his lap and thought again about Jimin. He was still hurt by whatever had happened the night before, yet he couldn't find it within himself to stay angry at the boy he loved. Instead, he decided to direct all of his wrath at the Studio Ghost, and vowed to himself that if he had to fight to get Jimin back, there was nothing he wouldn't do to succeed.
